Not the man who was arrested.
Like the real Darth Vader, he didn't go down easy.
An apparently drunken man wearing a Darth Vader mask was Tasered Thursday in Florida -- but it took pepper spray to finally bring him under control, NBCMiami.com reports.
The site has a photo of the man, Michael E. Cole, 28, who's sadly not wearing the mask in his mug shot. Apparently a Florida Highway Patrol officer responded to a call about an intoxicated man walking in the middle of an Orlando street wearing Vader's mask.
When Cole started to hit and kick the officer, he was Tasered, but his heavy jacket (and the Force?) protected him. Apparently Sith Lords have no protection against pepper spray, which was then used on Cole. He was treated at a hospital and then booked into jail on charges of felony resisting arrest and felony battery on a police officer.
NBCMiami, com, however, saves the best for last. The final two lines of the site's story read: "FHP spokeswoman Sgt. Kim Montes said no cape or lightsaber were found at the scene, but did say that Cole's mom came and picked up his Vader mask. The news comes less than a month after a man in a Chewbacca mask was involved in a shooting in West Palm Beach."
The Force is strong in Florida, my friends.
Which "Star Wars" character mask would you wear while defying the law? Not that you would. Discuss on Facebook.
