Original story: Actor and comedian Tracy Morgan was hospitalized on Sunday night in Park City, Utah, where he was attending an awards ceremony as part of the Sundance Film Festival.
The star of NBC's "30 Rock" was taken to the Park City Medical Center, hospital spokeswoman Amy Roberts confirmed to NBC News.

Morgan, 43, was being honored at the Creative Coalition Spotlight Awards. He reportedly fell unconscious after giving his acceptance speech and leaving the building.
Entertainment news website TMZ quoted unidentified sources as saying the actor "appeared extremely intoxicated during his award acceptance speech".
However, TMZ later posted a statement from Morgan's publicist, Lewis Kay, which said: "Any reports of Tracy consuming alcohol are 100 percent false. From a combination of exhaustion and altitude, Tracy is seeking medical attention."
Morgan was diagnosed with diabetes in 1996. In 2010, he had a kidney transplant.

They have a hospital on the Sundance grounds? Really? That's what the headline on MSNBC states : "Tracy Morgan hospitalized at awards show".
The U.S. is going down the tubes for many reasons including an uneducated population. I presume the headline was meant to convey Morgan's location when he was hospitalized. One more word --while-- would have done it.
Thank you jkatze. MSNBC needs to hire editors that can read and write English.

Isn't he diabetic? I wonder if his sugar was too low. That can often look like intoxication.
I was thinking the same thing as JMUBelleoo and ronpaulwasright-1949635. Low blood sugar can look like a mean drunk 3 year old... and altitude contributing? Yuck...
He is a diabetic so I would not jump to any decision he was drunk. Altitude can be nasty to a diabetic.
And any drinking is a big no no if you're diabetic. Most alcoholic drinks have a ton of sugar in them, it's what makes fermentation work.
I have no idea how anti-rejection drugs play into the mix.

Segdirb, That is because the photographer took a close up picture using a wide angle lens. It distorts the features as they get closer to the camera. Its just shoddy photography.

Funny how 30 Rock is a NBC show, Tracy Morgan is an NBC employee, and "Msnbc.com is a joint venture of Microsoft Corp. and NBC Universal." Yet, MSNBC must rely on TMZ for the scoop about one of its employees. Talk about a waste of money on some "reporter's" job.
Undiagnosed diabetes? Or maybe some other publicly undisclosed ailiment he is aware of and missed taking his meds. Not all celeb emergencies are what the lurid tabloid creeps would like us to believe.
Well, since the article says he was diagnosed with diabetes in 96 i'm guessing it's not undiagnosed.

Isnt karma a bitch Tracy? Maybe you should show some compassion to those less fortunate than you and lay off the disabled jokes and the gay jokes and then maybe the rest of us would show you some compassion. otherwise I hope all the hospitals needles are DULL.

Jake you sure don't think much of gay people, do you? To purport that a gay nurse would harm one of their patients because of something they once said insults both the nursing and the gay community. I think you need to ratchet down your hate.
