It's that time again! Go rewatch 'Groundhog Day'

Gene J. Puskar / Columbia Pictures

Bill Murray and Andie MacDowell in "Groundhog Day."

"OK campers, rise and shine, and don't forget your booties because it's COLD out there today!"

If you're just waking up and didn't remember that it's Groundhog Day today, we're here to tell you that that little rodent in Punxsutawney, Pa., saw its shadow and, as these things go, there will be six more weeks of winter.

The best part of this news is that you have another excuse to re-watch Bill Murray's excellent 1993 film about a weatherman who lives the same day over and over and over. "Am I right or am I right? Or am I right? Am I right?"

That's right. Get a fix of Murray's cranky Phil and Andie MacDowell as the lovely Rita and the hilarious Chris Elliott as Larry and Stephen Tobolowsky as good ol' Ned ... Ryerson! (He did the whistling belly button trick at the high school talent show. Duh.) Check out a few YouTube gems:

Many of us have favorite films which call for repeated viewings. When it comes to holidays, we've been over this in regard to Christmas movies. It seems extra fitting that on Feb. 2 we should take time to remember a movie called "Groundhog Day" that deals with doing the same thing again and again.

Maybe, like Murray's character over the course of the movie, we'll become better people because of it. Or maybe we'll just laugh enough to forget that spring is still a ways off.

Are you a fan of "Groundhog Day"? Tell us again and again and ... over on Facebook.
