Schwarzenegger and Stallone unexpectedly reunite -- in the hospital

Arnold Schwarzenegger / Whosay.com

And this is what happens when you do action movies in your 60s.

We gotta give it up to Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone for all the crazy adventures they've led us through on the big screen, but when we saw them hanging out side by side at the hospital earlier today, we got a little worried and hoped it was a scene from their upcoming flick "The Tomb." But nope.

This, our dear friends, is what we call "real life."

No need to panic, though.

Schwarzenegger posted this photo via his WhoSay account and explained, "After all the action, stunts &physical abuse shooting The Expendables 2 and The Last Stand, it was time for a little tune up on my shoulder. Look who was coincidentally waiting in line behind me for his shoulder surgery. Now we're ready for another round of great times and action when we shoot The Tomb.#greattobeback"

It wasn't even planned! How funny.

Stallone and Schwarznegger will reunite in theaters for Mikael Hfstrm's film, which depicts Stallone playing an authority figure who must escape from a prison of his own design while Schwarzenegger will take on the role as one of the inmates.

Does Stallone have a bunch of tats on his arms and shoulders?

In the first moive he was tatted up. Since they are shooting I'm sure its for the movie. We would have heard about Stallone getting tatted up.

Chuck Norris performed the surgery. On both of them. At the same time.

Chuck Norris performed his own surgery on his own shoulder while doing his own stunts!

Stallone and Schwarznegger. The old men of action films. Time to retire. Your day has come and gone.

Really...Shia indeed! With a few exceptions, the actors today generally stink.

Might be a good time for Maria to give Arnie his colonoscopy. Excuse if the spelling is off.

BOYCOTT ALL THINGS ARNOLD!!!!!!! Arnold is a scumbag. He commuted the sentence of a killer for another corrupt politician's son, and dis-honored his wife & family by sleeping with the help in his wife's bed. LOSER.

and this should change our opinion about an actor/politician for what reason? If this is your way of thinking you should boycott Hollywood. Arnold was just another that was stupid enough to get caught.

Quote Bruna Nessif: "And this is what happens when you do action movies in your 60s."

Lame comment about their age, just hope that you can do what they do when you hit 60. And maybe you should talk to more action movies actors, then you would know that this kind of stuff happens often, and at any age.

Quote Raymond-1126037: "Stallone and Schwarznegger. The old men of action films. Time to retire. Your day has come and gone."

Speak for yourself Raymond, as far as I'm concerned they can do action movies as long as they want and can.

Long live Arnold and Sly! Go Terminator and Rocky!

    We're all getting older.

Do what you can and what you love for as long as you can.

It is the only 'secret' to life...no matter how many years you have.

Agreed! I don't get when people "go after" people who are still doing what they want as they get older even if they may not be what they were 30 years ago - heck - I'm not what I was 30 years ago but still doing what I want the best I can.

    enjoyed the commentary here!

As for the actors needing some medical attention - probably some minor repair work, something that athletes at any age have to have from time to time. As for their being athletic at 60 - god bless 'em for continuing to work hard at staying in shape and (relativly) healthy.

As for the actors jobs - if their work (ie:movies) weren't popular, they wouldn't be so successful - take that you nay sayers. (ok, admitedly they tended to be a bit cheesy, but they were F-U-N) I've paid money to see 'em both.

Anyone who has spent as many hours under the barbell and lifting as much as these guys have will certainly collect various injuries along the way and getting patched up is just part of the game.
