She had no peer as a singer. Her singing was from heaven. I'm shocked. I feel as if I lost a sister. She had it all.
One Moment in Time, her rendition of the National Anthem, Nobody Loves Me Like You Do, etc, etc. She had one of the greatest voices of all time! I hope you are now at rest in Gods loving arms!!
My favorite has to be "One Moment In Time". A beautiful song. An amazing voice.
One Moment in Time....love that song!
I am not typically a fanboy of of any stripe, but Whitney's decline has long saddened me, her death is particularly tragic. I so hoped she would come out from her personal dark hell. I feel so bad for her. Whitney Houston will always remain for me a wonderful and tragic monumental talent.
We lost an Icon, Forever Missed and Never Forgotten... Rest in Peace Whitney, We will be always Love You...
my favorite whitney song is 'one moment in time'
All of those songs are great, but my favorite is "I Have Nothing" from the BodyGuard sound track. RIP Whitney :(
WE WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU!
So much talent, so much soul. We will always love you, Whitney. RIP.
ALL AT ONCE was the most heartfelt song she ever did in my opinion. It showed she had an inescapable talent and was a voice to be reckoned with. It was a ballad that was sang in the most unhearsed ways and captured and captivated whatever audience was presence. As i go back and play that song on my YouTube account, I can't help but cry and be shaken at the same time. Her presence in this world will always be felt through the talent she left behind. It is unshakable and now her death is unfathomable. I am just at a loss for words. The only word i can come up with is UNTIMELY and it is indeed UNTIMELY. She had so many other projects to pursue and success always had her name on it.
This majestic voice dominated the 1980s and beyond. I am not a big pop music fan but neither I nor anyone can ever forget her impact. Way too young to die.
It's hard to see my keyboard; my eyes just won't work right with all these tears. I'm so sorry.
Freddy, your not the only one. I just can't stop crying. What a tragic ending to a superstar. She was only two years older than me, and I can remember rushing to the music store to buy her newest album every time she released a new one.
My heart goes out to her daughter, her family, and everyone else who's life Whitney Houston touched.
'Where do Broken Hearts Ago' too is a beautiful song. Incidentally, she looked terrific in the video.
One of my favorite songs by Whitney was "My Name is Not Susan"--in a time when so many of the songs about being cheated on were bathed in pity and sadness, she sang the song that was about telling the man who can't get over his ex to get over her or get out. So much power and grace. So many people remember her ballads, but forget that she had some truly excellent dance songs as well--"I'm You Baby Tonight," "So Emotional," "How Will I Know." I'm sad that she didn't get to make the triumphant comeback she really deserved.
Every note she sang came from deep within her soul. I think this is why her voice moved us all. But I also think it is because she gave so much so freely to all of us through her gift that it emptied her. With her moving rendition of the national anthem, she forever changed the way it has since been sung. She was the first I ever heard run up the scale on the word "free", and just about everyone has copied it since. Rest in peace Whitney.
Dolly may have written, "I Will Always Love You," but it was Whitney who signed her name to it and (without a doubt) it will always be her "signature" song. RIP angel.
It is devastating for her fans all over the world. She was a very rare talent and very beautiful as well. Thank you Whitney for giving us your unforgettable music. My deepest condolences to her mother, her family and all the people who love her.
It's not easy picking "One Best Song" from Whitney Houston as she sounded every song she sang to the heavens. While her 1991 Super Bowl National Anthem brought me to tears, "I Will Always Love You" is my favorite all time by Whitney. Her voice has gone silent to us now but only because GOD has chosen to make her a big part of HIS Heavenly Choir. I know some may not agree that she is with GOD now because of the troubled life she had here on this earth but, she is still one of HIS children and HE graced us for a short time with this Angelic voice. I, for one feel blessed to have had the opportunity to have herd such a voice. I'll pray now for her soul, miss her deeply and pray for her family. RIP Whitney Houston. Your task on this earth has been completed. Go HOME and RIP.
One Moment In Time is the best song of Whitney. It was an inspiration to the Olympics.
