The hearse carrying the body of Whitney Houston arrives for her private burial at the Fairview Cemetery on Sunday in Westfield, N.J.
Whitney Houston was laid to rest Sunday in a private ceremony at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, N.J. She was buried next to her father, John Russell Houston, who was interred in 2003.
The singer passed away on Feb. 11 at age 48.
Fans and onlookers gathered in several places along the route the motorcade took from the Newark funeral home to the cemetery about 20 miles away. Many held signs wishing Houston farewell and some created impromptu memorials. Some even slowly ran alongside the hearse as it began the journey to Houston's gravesite. Several yelled out "We love you, Whitney" as the hearse, which had a black and white headshot of the star in a window, slowly drove away.
Barbara Davis, 53, of Newark, said she had been waiting outside the funeral home since 8:30 a.m., hoping to get a glimpse of Houston's final trip.
"To be here at her home-going is an honor and a blessing," Davis told The Star-Ledger of Newark.
Saturday's ceremony at the New Hope Baptist Church was attended by hundreds of invited friends and family -- many of them stars themselves. After all the testimonials from relatives and friends, the songs from legends and pop stars, the preaching and even laughter, the raw emotion of Whitney Houston's funeral came down to just one moment: The sound of her own voice.

As the strains of her biggest record, "I Will Always Love You," filled the New Hope Baptist Church at the end of the nearly four-hour service Saturday and her silver-and-gold casket was lifted in the air, the weight of the moment was too much for her mother to bear.
Gospel singer Cissy Houston wailed, "My baby! My baby!" as she was held up by two women and led out of the church behind her daughter's body.
A few steps behind her was the pop icon's daughter, Bobbi Kristina, also crying uncontrollably as she was comforted by Houston's close friend, singer Ray J.
It was the most searing scene on a day with mixed moods as family, friends and a list of celebrities — sometimes one and the same — came to the humble New Hope Baptist Church, where Whitney Houston first wowed a congregation, to remember one of music's legends, but also a New Jersey hometown girl.
Her death marked the end of a life of stunning achievement. Blessed with a voice of great power and beauty, Houston became one of pop music's most successful artists over a career that spanned nearly three decades and segued into film with hits like "The Bodyguard."

But her life was not without struggles. An addiction to drugs and a tumultuous union with ex-husband Bobby Brown saw her tumbling from grace.
An autopsy has been performed, but results will not be revealed until the completion of the toxicology report.

Aren't we all?
RIP Whitney
Whitney, thanks for awesome childhood memories!
Today's music is not like it used to be when the likes of you roamed the earth!
One more time folks; illegal DRUGS kill, plain and simple. No buts, no ifs.
RIP Whitney Elizabeth Houston.
@DocHolliday— Legal drugs kill as well.
I thought she died like 20 years ago -- my bad. Looking forward to seeing an episode about her on Celebrity Darwin Awards. Like I told my kids, it may be that the purpose of some people's lives is to serve as an example of what not to do...
Aren't we all what? Dead drug addicts?
Ms. Whitney Houston was a gift from God.
This statement summarizes her best..
To all of Ms. Whitney Houston's naysayers:
Who can forget her unsurpassed and mind-blowing rendition of the "Star Spangled Banner?"
At the Super Bowl XXV, this heavenly artist raised our flag high...
Thank you Governor Christie for honoring this unmatched singer by lowering New Jersey's flags.
Whitney, you were with us for too short of a time.
...angel rest in our Lord's Loving arms.
Look, I appreciate people wanting to remember Ms. Houston at the time of her passing, but flags lowered to half-staff? Has Gov. Christie ordered the lowering of N.J.'s flags for its soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines fallen in war? Even once? THOSE individuals are truly deserving of the flag being lowered in their honor.
Sad, sad story for everyone. I don't know when she got mixed up with drugs, but it seemed she went downhill after she met Bobby Brown. He could not have been a good influence on her and I am sure it cost us more great hits from her.
She should have turned around and walked away the first time someone introduced her to drugs. It wouldn't have taken much. She was also too dependent on prescription drugs, and then mixed alcohol with them, a possible deadly combination. Now she'll be nominated for a Darwin Award as a result.
All it would have taken to save her would have been for one person that loved her to have told her "No".
You've got to be joking.
That is not how addiction works
Sigmore -- how old are you? 13? To ditto Bobbi123: you've got to be joking.
On the bright side, she's been sober a week now. Amy has been sober 7 months already.
And azdad48 how long have you been an insensitive example of a human being?
Where are the intelligent and compassionate posts---
Whitney Houston buried; may she rest in peace; the rat, Bobby Brown can no longer harm her psyche.
What a display of real class at the Funeral. Bobby Brown busting himself in with his buddies, while asked not to come; then quarreling with the people who seat the mourners at the Newark Church.
This is a father who respects?----to his daughter with Houston?--What a self-centered, narcissist creep.
The only person that could tell her No is herself. Addicts don't listen to anyone.
I think her daughter was the only one that could have saved her, but she probably wasn't strong enough to do it. Or, she just didn't recognize the danger Whitney was in. So she stood by and partied with her mother while she slowly killed herself. Pretty sad state of affairs.
This is the longest death pall in recent memory...I thought they planted her yesterday!!!!
Planted? Jerk
Um, yeah. Planted. Poor choice of words? I like planted because it's kinda like new growth, second coming, that kinda stuff. Buried, Planted, whatever works, just seems like it's taking for ever! Thay had JFK in the ground sooner! And please don't call me a jerk. I find that offensive.
say it like you meant it i agree! our soldiers get less coverage than this.
Please remember she has a daughter and a mother, try to control all of the ignorant remarks. White people please stop all of the hate. You do this with our great president, now with one of the greatest voices off all time. Both happen to be African Americans. Why are you all so hateful?????
Yeah, but ODumbo has it comin'..he truly is an IDIOT!!! Atleast Whitney had an excuse for her behavior, drugs and booze. What's ODumbos excuse? HUH?? HUH?? There's some presidential hate for ya!! Very true, Justeen. Our troops get a hell of a lot less coverage then a dead singer...Jezz Louise, like she was Ghandi or something!!
Yes, planted in the skeleton farm.
Takin'a dirt nap!
Wait!! Who turned this into a race thing?? Ban that person. Oh the musings of an overstimulated mind!!! Sorry, I'm an equal opportunity person. I think we're all equally as disturbed and broken, not just blacks. So please, Brown Eyes, keep your racist comments to yourelf for once...
I gnorance is bliss, cant argue with stupid; especially when there's two of em...and they happen to have taken over the entire blog....reverse racism at it's best....never ceases to amaze the informed (both white and black)!
RIP whitney
Hey Pret..., white people what? American blacks can be hateful also. You folks want to be equal but cannot take criticism that everyone has to endure. Drive around the black and white part of town and see if there is any difference!
If I offended you, then so be it. You offended me as a human being by reading such insensitive, apathetic garbage you call a comment. Have you ever had a loved one planted?
Hey Tim...I gotta great idea. Why don't YOU take a dirt nap! A permanent one! Anyone who can laugh and make jokes at the expense of someone who just got lowered into the ground is nothing short of a worthless maggot.
Let's have you die, then we'll all post tomorrow: 'Hey, Tim that moron RN...he just got planted.'
The attention would be appreciated...Thank you, Steve...I'm feelin' kinda healthy right now, but iof anything changes, you're on the top of the call list, buddy!! not very nice tellin' people to die...I haven't done that in one post, not one.
Can't fault the media for milking her pathetic demise for every dollar they can get. There are enough fools who will watch, I bet they were able to raise the CPK on TV ad rates by several tens of thousands per 30 seconds. Capitalism at work baby!
Bottom-line: Talent loss is tragic. Loved ones lost is tragic. No matter how, it is tragic to those closest to the deceased. ALL of us need to leave the departed in peace.
Let's not make this a race thing because it isn't. Those who are ignorant will make it a race emphasis. Those who are not will recognize the sadness of the situation and have sympathy for the mother who has lost and the daughter who is unfathomably impacted. Try to understand or at least empathize with the little ones. Can you imagine losing YOUR mother? If yes, then there are deeper issues that you should work out instead of taking it out on this situation.
RIP Whitney! Many will remember the great contributions and memories your work has encouraged.
Tim,
I just laughed my ass off. Thanks for the laugh.
God has spoken let the church say Amen. RIP Whitney!
Which God?
Pick one
dan-864351, LMAO that is so true (pick one) u really made my day
There is no such thing as "god". You might as well believe in RUPERT!
@Crazy as ever #4 I loved how Bishop Marvin Winans put that together to music. I was reading an article where he was being interviewed, and he stated that when he spoke with Ms. Cissy Houston that was the comment that she made. I agree wholeheartedly, God has truly spoken, let the Church say amen. For those of you who cannot relate to that statement, let it be; no comment is necessary. For those who are part of the Body of Christ, we can appreciate that statement even in times of grief. Rest in peace Whitney Elizabeth Houston.
She was one of god's angles that had to endure hard times before he could reclaim her to his thrown. We are all given trials in our life to over come. Once we do that, God will bring us back into his arms to love again, and be at peace. She had hers and had stepped over the obstacles to over come her challenge to be with him, or lord.
Rest in Peace Ms. Whitney Houston
You just have no idea about what is really going on - do you? Besides professing all of that nonsense - you cannot spell or construct a proper sentence in English. Those two actually go together though - religion and intelligence (you can't have much to believe in religion). Good luck with all that and those angles.....
GeezString, and the fact that you belittle this person's beliefs shows your intelligence level. Oh wait, only liberals get to make hateful and insipid remarks, and have them deemed as intelligent recourse what was I thinking?
Jennire get a life you troll
Justeen Mee: He's not wrong. Studies have shown a correlation between atheism and IQ on an individual and national level.
Edit: I included links to studies, but they were removed. However, some good ones are cited on the Wikipedia page for "Religiosity and intelligence".
If God were understanding, he would have let her get her next album out...
eh, what "throne"? Are you nuts?
Just horrible. I thought Whitney was beautiful, talented and troubled (that comes a lot with "power" and adoration and self worth issues). I feel bad for her daughter and watch out now - she is in a lot of danger of going down the same road with drugs and alcohol. I want to say one more thing - this funeral was a sham - horrible. Don't know why they had to make such an elaborate deal outta it. Alicia Keys proved she has no talent again. I just don't get it - I understand performers perform but on this occassion prayer works best. And Alicia's screaming was not praying. I also thought Kevin Costner was "acting" - and poorly acting at that. How about - I loved her, I wish I could have helped more and RIP - boom, done. Instead they take time to drag on their moment in the spotlight. Have no idea why Alicia Keys has sold one album - just horrible.
Do you have anything positive to say about anyone, ever?
My same thoughts about Alicia Keyes. Something about screaming that gets them going. They just love to scream. Why, I'll never know.
On the note about Kevin Costnar, didnt it seem kind strange he mentioned warner bros and affiliate company.. I figured he got paid big bucks for endorsing the two companies at the funeral because it was on national tv.. I was not impressed with his speech nor the way he was endorsing the movie too..
GeezString,
Who are you to tell a family how to grieve or a church how to conduct its services?
Be more respectful and compassionate. You are not funny or clever or witty with your cynical and narrow-minded judgments.
Life is such that the day will come for you and your family when you will need compassion, too. Maybe then you will understand why kindness really does matter.
And JamieB..."They"?? Are you serious...."They"?
Jeezstring, you are right about one thing - you "just don't get it", but don't worry about it because if you ever do "get it", you will have to be ashamed that you are nothing but another hater. As for Alicia Keys, she is one of the best singers on the planet right now. Her voice was shrill because she was almost overcome with emotion and pain for the friend she loved. I understand racism, I understand prejudice, but I just can't understand why these people can't at least wait until someone is buried before they start their hate-filled tirades. No class at all.
"twodogsloving" your identification says it all. A pet lover (you believe they understand you and treat them as members of your family - right), I am a hater, Alicia Keys has the best voice on the planet - hold it right there. Her voice was shrill because unless you get her in a studio and manipulate it electronically it is not a quality singing voice. I am assuming you recorded the service so you could view it again and again - crying over and over. I got it a long time ago - I am not ashamed of how I feel and I know the difference between compassion/kindness and miss-placed admiration.
And Family Woman - in case you have not noticed it the world is over populated. The trauma coming because of the useless waste of energy resources (like the energy to provide this service via television) is gonna kill about 5 billion people so spare me your I can't express my opinion about what everyone is talking about. I prefer to do my grieving in private. And spare me your I have no compassion crap. I am kind and very compassionate until I see contrived compassion and people using events like this tragedy to get some air time. I will bet you right now that Alicia Keys and Whitney Houston didn't spend 10 minutes together in the last five years. What you call my narrow mindedness I call reason.
Jamie B - don't worry, I understand your use of the word "they" that has family woman upset too. Let's get this over with quickly Katy Perry screams just a smuch as Alicia Keys - so I imagine your they to be "singers" in general. I am suspecting family woman is a black American still looking for justice and equality - both as a woman and a minority.
Whitney was blessed with an incredible voice. We were blessed to have lived in her time. She has now flown away like so many other greats. But she will never, ever be forgotten. RIP Whitney. You are now among the great legends of all time.
My sympathies to her family. However, she was an entertainer who combined drugs and alcohol. Where is all the sympathy for our military members who die, who bearly make a living to support their families.
Who said that there is not sympath for our miliary members? You are reading an article in the "entertainment" section of a news website. Is this where you expect to find such a story?
I hope that bobby brown is content in that he introduced Whitney to his thug life and now his daughter is without a mother because of it all.
Just as Whitney left us her legacy of a beautiful and extreme talent, I hope bobby brown's legacy is that his revolting actions have caused Whitney's death and has started his own daughter down the very same road.
I love you, Whitney. I Will Always Love You..................
You obviously have no idea what you are talking about. Piers Morgan interviewed Chaka Kahn who said she and whitney were cokeheads together long before Bobby Brown. He just made her worse. The whole sweet angel thing was a PR gimmick the public ate up.
@Justeen Mee, it is obvious that you, too, are 'caught up' on Whitney Houston. If she had no relevance, why would you continously post such ignorance. Regardless of Whitney's failures she had extreme heights. We know about Whitney's struggles, what are yours? God forbid when you pass, such awful words will not be spoken about you and any other person that posted negativity. Remember we all have one thing in common....we must die. Whitney was in the public's eye, we just don't know you and not that interested. Whitney vividly illustrated that regardless of road is travel....we must leave a legacy. And hers will be forever. What will yours be?
She would not have hooked up with Bobby Brown, if she didn't already use drugs. She was probably attracted to him because he had access to the drugs she liked. If someone doesn't like drugs, they don't hang with people who do like them...duh! Enough of blaming others of her problems. She had plenty of opportunities to get away from him (family, friends who tried to get her help.) So when Bobby Brown dies all of you are going to say "Oh, poor Bobby, if he had just not gotten involved with Whitney, he would have been ok" PLEASE!
She loved drugs, get over it.
How can any of you speak on someone lives just because of what you see in an article or in a paper? Who are you to judge anyone regardless of what good or bad they have done? Ridiculous. Someone has lost their life. Have some compassion.
Dude, Whitney Houston was into drugs before she ever met Bobby Brown. Listen to the interview with Chaka Kahn about their early drug use.
All she had to do is say "NO".
Calling on the Fans to help with a capital campaign to establish a memorial center to have Whitney Houston properly burried and we must have a service for the fans, with professionals and not just people willing to capitalize and make names for themselves and their "Religious, in the name of Jesus, Diamond Wearing, leaches."
Whitney Houston beloned to the world and the Jackson Family got it right. a private ceremony, but also one for the millions of fans, people who loved her and wanted no monthly, daily and annual financial support.
Bottom line is Whitney Houston had a beautiful voice but always was a crack hoe. Chaka Kahn told Piers Morgan she was a coke head long before Bobby Brown, if anything he made it worse. She and Whitney used to get high all the time. It was a PR gimmick to make her look like a sweet angel and the public ate it up. Morons are glorifying a crack whore, while soldiers protecting you are getting less than their names read on tv. sickening.
First, I see plenty of respect for soldiers, which is fine. This is a ridiculous non-issue.
Second, to be honest, you do not know anymore about the private lives and habits of the soldiers than you do about entertainers. Now be honest....you have no idea if the soldiers we honor use drugs or alcohol or beat their kids and wives, etc.
Just be kind and nonjudgmental---as you surely want people to be about you and yours. I am certain that you and your friends and family are not perfect.
@ Justeen, Whitney was a crack ho? Who's ho are you? Neither did I recall you mention that you served in the Armed Forces nor did anthing reputable. Just in case you need a definition....rep·u·ta·ble (r p y -t -b l). adj. Having a good reputation; honorable. rep
u·ta·bil i·ty n. rep u·ta·bly adv. reputable. Only God can judge.
You nasty ignorant person. She had been clean for 3 years. How do you know she is a crack hoe? What does that make you? A jealous one? I see you have posted quite a bit, you must be in need of attention. With all of her problems, Whitney still has more class than you.
A crack whore or hoe? Is that really necessary? She may have done crack but does that make her a hoe or a whore? Did you see her do it? Where you there when she was being a "crack whore/hoe" as you call it? Really? Have some respect. People make mistakes. I am sure you have made plenty. Quit judging.
I'm not without compassion for the death of this woman, but enough is enough in the press.....
Oh enough already!! Who gives a crap bout some crack-smoking singer!! This much effort and attention should be given to our service members killed-in-action in Afghanistan!! This misplaced display of "respect" is sickening.
No one is forcing you to read this article or join this discussion.
If you are bored, move on to the next subject of your hatred...I'm sure there is one.
Didn't you see her interview with that blow-hard Oprah, Bars? "Crack is wack"!!!
I have to agree with Gold Bars! She done herself in and now we have to hear about a six hour funeral and the whole shabang! I am waiting for these idiot Whitney fans to go and dig her up and dance around in the street with her as they play her music in the background. Her fans are wack and most of them are on crack! So none of this would surprise me one bit!
As Tim Doyle, RN put it - "why did they not plant her yesterday?" Where was she all night? That funeral special ended at around 4p.m. - so where did she go?
RIP Whitney...thanks for the memories.
Wish the media was this concerned with our Fallen Soldiers instead of Drug induced suicide celebrities.
I loved Ms. Houston's music but beyond that what justifies this 24/7 circus?
Ditto!!!
i liked her but isn't enough enough? there not going to say cause of death because she was a drunk and pill popper. let the girl die in peace she was obviously heart broken about something. bobby brown was mistreated at her funeral and he's the babies father! let sleeping dogs lie. i've seen enough about her for 20 years. tv, newspapers and magazines have it everyday all day long. no one deserves that. let it go please.
How is it a private funeral when it was being live streamed and broadcasted on cnn and bet?
I feel for her family because they lost someone.. But how many of us have lost a loved one and we dont call the presses to glorify their deaths..
Her daughter is going down the same path as her parents but what really drives me nutts is her constant need for media attention to show how she is grieving.. I have seen people grieve a parent and not even act remotely close to how she acted right after her mom died.. yes I know i will get flamed on about how we all grieve differently, my grieving doesn't include i'm flipping out call all the rag magazines and have them show up for me getting loaded in to an ambulance..
When someone dies the dysfunction rears it's ugly heads in almost all families..
I feel the worse for Whitney's mother.. No mother should outlive a child and no mother can make an adult do anything they don't want to do.. Sad such a talent was thrown away for a man that didn't deserve it and a habit that couldn't be beat..
Oh on a side note someone is trying to use the pictures from star magazine as real pictures, they weren't they were reenactment photos, sick pigs trying to make a buck..
How can some folks campare Whitney to the military men? All subjects have their time and differences...try staying on subject folks...
I always love her, Whitney Houston, for she is a human being, like me.
I always love her for she is a woman, like me.
I always love her for she is a Christian, like me.
I always love her for she loves to sing, like me.
I always love her for she helps those who are weak, e.g. her charity events/donation.
I always love her for she keeps things simple even though she knows people are taking advantage from her.
I always love her for she cares other people, e.g. 9/11/2001 event and South Africa, and she had a tour there.
I always love her for she shows her sincereity and her humility to others even she knows that she has tremendous influential power.
I always love her for she respects others even though she knows that there will be no guarantee she will have respect in return.
I always love her for she is a fighter even at the end of her life.
I always love her for she holds the professionalism in a dignified manner.
I always love her for she stands even though her people leave her alone when she is in distress.
I always love her for she reminds people should teach her children even when her growing up is in the environment of night club.
I always love her for she always loves her mother even her upbringing is different from the norm and she never blames her family and her parents.
I always love her for she does the best she can to raise up her daughter under pressure from all sides.
I always love her for she supports the troop, e.g. gulf war entertaining event.
I always love her for she...
I always love her for she is a strong and responsiblie and liable and lovable and respectful and caring human being with a warm heart despite of all betrayals.
I always love her.
Oh for the love of................... I bet you are out there at that damn cemetary with a shovel waiting to dig her up when they all finally leave.
Why are you such a hater, Segdirb? Why do you put so much effort into your hatreds?
Finally geez is her family in competition with Michael Jackson?
I would love to have queen make a new song "ANOTHER CRACK WHORE BITES THE DUST". I am so tired of hearing about this drug addict. If she couldn't sing she would have become a hooker, giving BJ's for $25 in any alley.
Druggies die every day on the streets of this country, and nobody cares, so why should we care about this self destruction person. Boo hoo Whiteny is gone.
They can’t because their lead singer, Freddie Mercury, is DEAD from HIV-AIDS as a result of his own well documented whoredom. He died because of his use (or better yet, misuse) of a different kind of “crack”…the one that contained his butt -hole. He couldn’t resist those AIDS filled “injections” into his ass. Apparently, he was as addicted to his own style of “crack” abuse as Whitney was to hers. As they say, “crack kills.” One thing we know for sure, he COULD sing….but STILL he couldn’t resist giving (to use your terminology) blowjobs in alleys….only his were for FREE…and it killed him!! So there will be no Whitney-themed songs from that direction.
In response to your blithering ignorance and idiotic comments, Whitney wasn’t the first and won’t be the last star to be caught up in illicit drugs or alcoholism…and die young because of it. The list is long, and, like the drugs and lifestyle that proves so destructive, does not discriminate by race, color, culture or ethnicity. It includes the likes of…..
Judy Garland
Richard Burton
Marilyn Monroe
Elvis Presley
Hank Williams, Sr.
Chris Farley
Jim Morrison
John Belushi
Kurt Cobain
River Phoenix
Heath Ledger
Chris Penn
Anna Nicole Smith
Janis Joplin
Amy Winehouse
….and many others far too numerous to list here.
As you can see, race has nothing to do with it. These luminaries were all White. And while their self destructive and abusive ways obliterated their lives, talents and abilities prematurely, like Whitney, each of them received the highest acclaim in the celebration of their legacy at the time of their deaths…as they rightfully should have. To this day, they are each extolled as irreplaceable paragons of American artistic culture, without the acidic disrespect and disdain (rooted in the insipid stupidity of racism) being shown to Whitney by many commenters on this blog.
In spite of her many sexual proclivities, exploits, adulterous affairs, general whorishness and well known drug usage, no one called the likes of Marilyn Monroe a “drug abusing hoe” or Elvis a “fat, gross, over-the-hill, erectile dysfunctional, heroin-addicted junkie, who died like a dog while sh!tting on the toilet.” So, what’s up with all the vitriol about Whitney….is it just because you can’t stand the fact that she was stunningly beautiful, talented…AND Black?
If so, shut the FVCK up and get over it!!!!
Word to Unintentional Mayhem.
Preach it.
Mayheim
You must be blind like Ray Chuck have you seen how ugly the Whit looked at the end. i would not do her if she paid me. My privates have class. Why are you making it a race issue. A crack whore is a crack whore white or black.
Ron - you are one sick and disgusting excuse for a human. I would not insult a slug by comparing you to it.
They better hurry up and plant her...the drugs might wear off and she'll rise from the dead!
LMAO! Tim you are a HOOT! I feel off my chair reading your comments! You are a MESS!!!
Where was she all night? The fuuuunnnnneeeerrrrraaaalllll was yesterday right? I don't think she is in that coffin. She is probably sitting back at the Beverly Hilton..............BOOOOBBBAAAAYYY!!! WHERE IS MY DRINK!
For everyone commenting that she gets more attention than the troops. If you feel so strongly about it fight for their rights and make enough noise that changes are made. This is not the place or the thread. This thread is regarding the life and death of Whitney Houston. No one asked any of you to come to this site or comment. It's as simple as clicking on the X
Just havin' some fun at the expense of a dead crack-head...or was it the pills? Maybe the booze...not sure...
Tim
Who is joking around, I am serious about my comments about "another crack whore bites the dust". If people cannot take a joke F them
Thank you Ron for saying what I was thinking! Didn't want you to think I borrowed your material!
Justsaying, you can just click on the X also.
Tim
great minds think the same. Have fun and hope these other A holes learn to lighten unp
As I read these threads, I noticed the comments and replies that talk about her dependency issues. I also noticed the blatant disrespect for a human beings death. Yes, we all know that she had issues. People, please stop acting like you are so self righteous. I invite you all to take a look in the mirror. I guarantee that you will find one or more of the following; hatred, fear, jealousy, and anger. All are considered WEAK emotions. You may also find a lot of dependency issues with yourselves as well. Such as: illegal or legal drug use, smoking (tobacco, weed, etc), drinking, sex addiction, and many more. I can't stand when people talk negative about others as if they are so f*&#king perfect. Please start operating from your higher consciousness, not your lower consciousness (primitive thinking).
The truth is that some people felt close to Whitney thru her music. That's understandable. Music is moving and it can touch some people to the deepest of their soul. Some people have found inspiration from her and other artist thru her music/lyrics. That's just reality. She was a worldly artist and she was in the public's eye. Her fans and media made her. You who have taken the time out to read this article and the threads have made her.
Not to make it a black or white thing, but I making my next comment for relating purpose only. The sad thing is that we still live in a raciest and unequal society. When Elvis died, it was all over the national networks and the world. They had a very big send off for him. Elvis still lives on for most, if not all of his fans. Why, because his music touched THEIR souls. It was the same for Kurt Cobain, Amy Winehouse, Michael Jackson and many more.
So, for the people that don't understand why this is such a big deal, I hope my comment on this helped.
yeah, but Elvis did crazy stuff like eat fried bologna sandwiches and sit on a gold toilet...That's entertainment!
meanchie
After reading your comment you make me feel like Hitler could have been a nice guy because he kissed babies (only arian) and liked music. If you are able to see through all the phoniness in how people feel about someone they did not know but her music, I know of a bridge for sale in Brooklyn. She was a person who could sing and do hard core drugs at the same time if she was not getting beaten by Bobbie.
CRACK IS WACK!!! CRACK IS WACK!!! She should have taken her own advise istead of BS'ing herself. Fallen angel my ass! She had a great voice, but a bigger love of booze and pills!!
