James Van Der Beek gives wolf pee to 'Don't Trust the B' co-star

    Anderson Live

Anderson Cooper takes a sniff of Krysten Ritter's jar of wolf urine.

    By Anna Chan, TODAY

It's not unusual for friendly co-workers to give each other gifts, but the one that "Don't Trust the B in Apartment 23" star James Van Der Beek gave to co-star Krysten Ritter may have been a little ... weird.

During her appearance on "Anderson Live" Monday, the actress, who plays Chloe, told host Anderson Cooper that the former "Dawson's Creek" star was "heaven." She explained that the actor, knowing she has a small dog and lives in an area of Los Angeles that has plenty of coyotes, decided to give her a present to help with the issue.

"He umm ... he gave me a really uhh ... sick and perverted -- but amazing -- gift," Ritter started. "It's a jar of wolf urine. ... Somehow, James knew that if you sprinkle wolf urine outside of your house, it keeps the coyotes away. So he gave me this amazing gift."

Cooper wanted to know how Van Der Beek had collected the "gift," but Ritter had no idea. What she did have, though, was the jar it came in. Seeing that the container was empty (she used the contents!), Cooper opened it up and took a whiff. Check out his reaction:

Anderson Cooper kicks 'Human Barbie' off show, calls her 'dreadful'

By Gael Fashingbauer Cooper, NBC News

Anderson Cooper does not suffer fools gladly. In the middle of an interview with Sarah Burge, who has made headlines for giving her 8-year-old daughter vouchers for breast enhancements and liposuction and has reportedly had more than $800,000 of cosmetic surgery herself, Cooper just couldn't take it any more.

"Um, I honestly have nothing more to talk to you about," Cooper said. "I gotta just stop, sorry. I try to be really polite to all my guests, I just think you're dreadful and I honestly don't want to talk to you any more."

    Follow @TODAY_Clicker

"That's fine, that's fine," Burge kept repeating, as she quickly walked off the set, to the applause of the live studio audience.

Earlier in the show, he had asked Burge to explain photos of her young daughter, then 7, on a stripper pole. She called the pole dancing "good exercise" and said "more people should actually try it than stuffing their faces with burgers."

In an interview after the show, Cooper said, "You know, I always try to be respectful of the guests. But I also think if you're gonna have somebody on you want somebody who's really communicating honestly, and I got the feeling that this was about publicity for her, and ... I regret having her on in the first place."

He also said, "I think encouraging your little daughter to pole dance and give her plastic-surgery vouchers and telling the media about it, that I just don't understand."

Cooper said he had hoped to get an explanation from Burge but "didn't think it was a really honest discussion."

The interview aired on "Anderson" on Tuesday.

Anderson Cooper suffers another giggling fit on '360'

By Alexis L. Loinaz, E! Online

    CNN

Anderson Cooper has gotten another crack at a priceless on-air crack-up!

If you'll recall, the CNN host became a viral-video sensation last summer when he succumbed to an on-air giggling fit while attempting to deliver a report about Gerard Depardieu peeing on a plane. (Hey, we'd be in stitches, too!)

Well, turns out that was only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Cooper's full giggling prowess.

The host completely lost it again on his "AC360" show last night, this time going so far as to get up and walk off camera in an attempt to stifle his maniacal laugh trip.

    So what set him off?

On the "RidicuList "segment of his show, Cooper discussed an obscure Polish American holiday called Dyngus Day, which happens after Lent and involves "quirky little rituals" like boys sprinkling girls with water.

The report was apparently too much for Cooper's normally unflappable composure, because the star soon collapsed into a hysterical giggle fit that put his first one to shame.

This one lasted almost a minute and a half, and the newsman left his anchor's seat at one point, only to return and exclaim, "That's really so stupid! Stop! C'mon, this is torture!"

After a barrage of additional yuks, he added, "I just gotta let it out!" and wiped his eyes with a tissue.

It wasn't all yuks for Cooper, though: Concerned that his outburst might have offended Dyngus Day die-hards, he issued this statement afterward:

"I am concerned to hear that some people believe that I called Dyngus Day celebrations 'stupid' or in any way criticized this holiday. I did not. While in the midst of a silly giggle fit I said 'this is so stupid' in reference to my inability to stop laughing," Cooper explained.

"I was not saying Dyngus Day was 'so stupid.' I apologize to anyone who got the impression that I was being critical of Dyngus Day. I am genuinely sorry if I offended anyone by the lighthearted tone of the 'RidicuList.' "

See, he wasn't dinging dem Dyngus folks! Let's hope they know how to, ahem, laugh it off.

'Dancing With the Stars' pro Tony Dovolani got therapy after Kate Gosselin

    Kelsey Mcneal / ABC

Tony Dovolani with "Dancing With the Stars" season 10 partner Kate Gosselin.

    By Anna Chan, TODAY

"Dancing With the Stars" host Tom Bergeron said it best when tennis legend Martina Navratilova and her pro partner, Tony Dovolani, became the first pair eliminated from season 14 on Tuesday: "Sorry, buddy."

Sorry indeed. As many readers have complained about in our "DWTS" chats, Tony has been paired with quite a number of underperformers who had little chance of advancing far into the competition. And as Tuesday once again proved, many of these underperformers have come after season 10, when the pro was paired with reality TV mom Kate Gosselin, perhaps the dancer's most challenging partner to date.

On Friday, the pro hoofer, who has yet to win the coveted mirror ball trophy, appears on Anderson Cooper's talk show "Anderson" via satellite to dish about the popular ballroom bash, and he doesn't shy away from talking about his experiences with the mom of multiples.

"I always feel bad for you because you got stuck with Kate Gosselin," his host said. "I remember watching her dance. I'm still traumatized by that experience."

"Wait, wait. Anderson, did you just call it a dance? We didn't dance," the pro replied.

Ouch! And here we thought the pro who has a seemingly infinite amount of patience with his partners was one of the nicest and would never speak ill of a current or past celeb partner!

That wasn't all Tony had to say about his experience ... um, performing with Kate.

The pro told Anderson that after he and Kate finished in eighth place during season 10, he needed some professional help. "There was a lot of therapy involved," Tony admitted with a chuckle.

For fans of the show who watched the season, that revelation may not come as a complete shock. After all, the pro became so frustrated during a rehearsal with Kate that he quit and walked out of the dance studio.

Tony and Martina's "Anderson" interview airs Friday, March 30. Check AndersonCooper.com for local air times.
