'Ellen DeGeneres Show' renewed through 2017

It's been 10 seasons since "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" first aired, and audiences can't get enough of it. And it looks like they won't have to give up their favorite dancing talk show host any time soon -- the series has been renewed through the 2016-17 season by its core syndicated group, Ken Werner, president of Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution and Valari Stabb, president of NBC Owned Television Stations, announced in a statement Monday.

"Ellen" is the No. 1 nationally syndicated talk show (it is tied with "Dr. Phil") for the past season, and has seen a surge in ratings this past season. The show has 38 Daytime Emmy awards, and 13 People's Choice Awards. In recent months, celebrities have used their appearances to discuss a bed-wetting childhood and a decision to go commando, among other things. Degeneres is considered by many to be one of television's favorite talk show hosts, though she's not admired as much by the group One Million Moms, which was upset by her ads for JCP.

"Ellen is quite simply the best," said Werner in the statement. "Day in and day out she and her team produce a unique and compelling hour of entertainment which is appointment television for legions of women."

Christina Aguilera says she couldn't take her eyes off Hillary Clinton either

Ellen DeGeneres couldn't help but ask Christina Aguilera about that photo of her and Hillary Clinton. "That looks like it was Photoshopped, but it's not. That was a real moment," the "Voice" judge said in an interview airing Friday on "Ellen," referring to the shot of the Secretary of State seemingly appraising Aguilera's decolletage at a leadership-awards ceremony in October.

"Could you feel her gazing down on your ... breastesses?" quipped Ellen.

"She's such like, you know, a force in a room," gushed Aguilera. "She's got that star charisma and everything about her. I couldn't take me eyes off her either -- so, it was mutual."

"Is that bad?" the singer wondered. "I don't know maybe I shouldn't say that. I'm so inappropriate."

Speaking of pushing the envelope, Aguilera also talked about her new album, "Lotus," the cover of which she notably posed nude for.

Check out who made "The Voice" final four

"I like to be free," she said. "Sometimes, the less clothing the better. I'm just comfortable in my skin and my body.

"Had I had this beautiful sweater. ... I would have worn that on the cover of 'Lotus,'" she added, motioning to the holly-jolly Christmas sweater Ellen gave her.

Oh, and according to Aguilera, she waves those signature fans around on "The Voice" for a reason.

"It's our third season in and us as coaches have hit our stride," Aguilera, who has no team members left in the competition this season, explained why she seemed more relaxed these days. "We get what it's all about. We're invested in our teams and I'm sitting next to (Blake Shelton) the whole time, so how can I not laugh?

Musical memories made on "The Voice"

"Between him and (Cee Lo Green), with his gas over there. Then there's (Adam Levine) over there, very competitive."

"That's why I have the fan, you know," Aguilera cracked.

Drew Barrymore tells Ellen DeGeneres why she named her baby Olive

    By Rebecca Macatee, E! Online

    The Ellen DeGeneres Show

    Drew Barrymore.

Drew Barrymore picked out her daughter Olive's name when she was still in the womb. On Thursday's episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," Will Kopelman's wife explained that their 10-week-old baby girl was named for her size at the time.

Cute! Drew and Will step out with baby Olive

"I never would have guessed that would have been the name," the 37-year-old actress said. "But I was reading a book with my husband. I was three months pregnant and they said your baby is the size of an olive, and that was it. We never looked back."

"It could have been the size of a peanut or a grapefruit," Ellen quipped.

"It could have been," Drew said, laughing. "It was a lot fruit and vegetables."

Drew works the red carpet in first post-baby public appearance

"It could have been named kidney bean?" Ellen asked.

Not quite. "Kidney's not such a fun name," Drew answered.

Drew explained that she and Will were "shopping a few (names) as all people do who are so blessed to get to do this. And then once the light was shed, there was just no turning back."

Here are diet tips from Drew's nutritionist

Coincidentally, Olive is the name of an animated reindeer Drew voiced in the 1999 TV special Olive the Other Reindeer. Back in 1995, the Big Miracle star, who was then dating Hole musician Eric Erlandson, told Rolling Stone she wanted to name her future daughter Ruby Daffodil.

We're definitely glad she went with Olive.

Is it me you're looking for? Ellen pranks Costco customers in viral video

    By Courtney Hazlett, TODAY

Imagine this: You're minding your own business, shopping at Costco, and a complete stranger approaches and says with a straight face, "Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy, but here's my number. Call me maybe." Or perhaps you're just trying to choose a nice collared shirt, and you're asked, "Is it me you're looking for? I can see it in your eyes ..."

    Watch on YouTube

That's exactly what happened to unsuspecting shoppers when a writer for the "Ellen" show went to the big box store and was tasked with chatting people up, but only using song lyrics to do so.

Watch the hidden-camera prank -- people take this stranger with an aptitude for spoken verse very seriously when she starts lobbing lyrics from Lionel Richie, Carly Rae Jepsen, the Spice Girls and more.

Be sure to watch all the way through; the ending is surprisingly sweet.
