Adele's Grammy award crasher explains how he made it on stage

By Seth Abramovitch , The Hollywood Reporter

Despite heightened security at the 55th Grammy Awards, Ukrainian TV journalist and celebrity prankster Vitalii Sediuk managed to infiltrate the Staples Center on Sunday night and nearly accept an award on Adele's behalf. Now Sediuk, 24, exclusively tells The Hollywood Reporter how he pulled off the high-risk stunt that landed him in jail.

VIDEO: Grammys crasher jailed for on-stage Adele stunt

“My channel didn’t get credentialed, so I went with friends who had tickets,” Sediuk, who once earned a slap from Will Smith after kissing him on a red carpet, reveals. “They didn’t check how many we had, so I was let in. First I went to the media line and interviewed quite a few celebrities, like Jennifer Lopez and Nicole Kidman....Then I just followed one girl in a green dress through the (Staples Center) gates. They checked my pockets but never asked to see a ticket. Only once I was inside the building did I realize, ‘Oh my gosh, it’s Katy Perry!’”

After being told the show was about to begin, Sediuk found an empty seat in the second row, surrounded by A-listers such as Justin Timberlake, Beyonce and Sting. “I think it belonged to Adam Levine,” Sediuk says, “because he was sitting on the ground."

Sediuk insists he had no plans to mount the Grammys stage: "The idea to go on the stage came up at the last second. To be honest, Adele is my favorite singer. So when I heard her name, I came up with this idea to go up on the stage and say what I said.... I pretended this was an award for me, and then I said, 'Thank you, Adele. You’re my inspiration.'”

It all happened so quickly that security and bodyguards failed to react -- but Lopez, who was startled but composed, handled the situation deftly, pulling Sediuk away from the microphone and gesturing him offstage with a thumb.

"I don't remember her (facial) expression, but I remember someone pulled me. When I saw the video, I realized it was Jennifer Lopez," Sediuk says. After he walked backstage, crew and security were ready for him -- and weren't pleased.

"People were quite angry. I felt very nervous -- this will sound funny -- and I asked for water. And one guy was so furious, but he brought water. Then police guys took me to a room and asked a lot of questions about how I got inside," he says.

After being cuffed, fingerprinted, photographed and spending a night in a cold jail cell, Sediuk was charged with trespassing and released Monday morning pending a March court date. As for his crime, he accepts his punishment but insists that while he can sometimes "be rude," his antics are mostly innocuous and well-meaning.

"My purpose is to entertain and to show a different emotion of celebrities," Sediuk says, adding, "I’m not a crazy guy. I just think differently."

Leg-off! J.Lo channels Angelina Jolie's leg on Grammy red carpet

    By Courtney Hazlett, TODAY

Angelina Jolie, what have you wrought? Ever since the actress struck the pose of poses at the 2012 Oscars red carpet, showing off her dress-cut-to-there in an awkward leg bend seen 'round the world, we've been on the lookout for copycat poses.

At the Grammy Awards Sunday night, Jennifer Lopez was the clear winner in the "Best Channels Angelina Jolie" category, striking the gam stance on the red carpet about an hour before the ceremony was set to begin.

Jennifer Lopez struck a pose at the Grammys on Feb. 10 that was reminiscent of Angelina Jolie's famous gam reveal at the 2012 Oscars.

Who do you think pulls off the pose best? Let your voice be heard by casting a vote!

Jennifer Lopez is still one hot ticket

    By Kurt Schlosser, TODAY

Jennifer Lopez may not be returning to the judge's table on "American Idol," but there are still plenty of reasons to idolize the 43-year-old singer, at least judging by these photos.

J.Lo performed Thursday night at The Staples Center in Los Angeles as part of her ongoing world tour. Without putting any guns to her head, ticking off PETA or crying over her ex like her contemporaries, Lopez still manages to dazzle.

In looking at the list of upcoming tour dates on her website, it seems Jenny will be away from "the block" for quite a while.

    By Josh Grossberg, E! Online

Jennifer Lopez will tour North America this summer with Enrique Iglesias. This concert series will kick off a global jaunt the "American Idol" judge plans to embark on which will see her play her first headlining shows ever in Latin America.

The 42-year-old Lopez confirmed the news this morning on Ryan Seacrest's radio show.

The North American concerts kick off July 14 in Montreal. Plus, the Octomom is bankrupt. And, Maggie Gyllenhaal gives birth.

Jennifer Lopez didn't drive that Fiat 'round the block

    By Courtney Hazlett, TODAY

If you own a television, you've probably seen Jennifer Lopez's Fiat commercial, which features Lopez apparently cruising slowly through the streets of her childhood block(s) in the Bronx. Big star remembers her roots -- such a feel-good message! Actually, not quite. The Fiat went to the block, but Jenny never did. What we were watching was not Lopez, but rather a body double taking an Italian ride through the Bronx's gritty streets.

    Watch on YouTube

Were we duped? According to The Smoking Gun,  two different sources confirm that Lopez filmed her spot in Los Angeles, while a lookalike back east drove the car. And Doner, the advertising agency behind the ad, certainly did nothing to make anyone think differently. Doner suggested the commercial “explores her personal take on how life in the New York City borough continues to inspire her to be tougher, to stay sharper and to think faster.” TSG also adds that Fiat boss Olivier Francois also chimed in, claiming “we watch as she leaves Manhattan and makes her way back to the Bronx, where she grew up and continues to be inspired by.”

Does it matter? From a truth-in-advertising standpoint, sure, this is another blemish. But really, how much stock has anyone ever put in the whole Jenny From the Block persona? I for one found the song catchy enough when it came out, but I've yet to mistake Lopez for, say, Kate Middleton, loading bagged potatoes and O.J. onto the conveyor belt at the checkout counter in her hometown grocery store.

Fiat, you win round one ... Jenny from the Block, we never really even knew you.
