Jessica Biel to change name to Jessica Timberlake

    Jessica Timberlake!

    By Courtney Hazlett, TODAY

Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake's wedding might be over, but there's still some housekeeping related to the big day that needs to be taken care of. Namely, a name change. Biel tells People that she'll become Jessica Timberlake, at least in her personal life.

"Yes, I'm changing my name," says Biel, who married Timberlake Oct. 19 in Italy. "My professional name will still be the same, but for life, yes, I think it sounds great. I think I really won the jackpot of names."

Details about the wedding itself are still trickling out, but Timberlake previously called the day "magical," telling People that it was "an unforgettable evening." Part of what made the evening memorble: Biel's custom-made pink Giambattista Valli gown and Timberlake's serenade to his bride as she walked down the aisle.

"It was an original piece I wrote specifically for the evening and for her," Timberlake told the magazine about the song. Among the guests on hand to hear it: Jimmy Fallon, Andy Samberg, Timbaland and Beverly Mitchell.

What do you think about Biel's decision to change her name? Weigh in in our attached poll, and discuss on Facebook.

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel's wedding photos: first look!

    By Randee Dawn, TODAY contributor

Who wouldn't be jumping for joy at his own wedding? In the case of Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, who got married last weekend in Italy, the answer to that — and a lot more — will be available in the new issue of People magazine, on newsstands Friday. But TODAY got special look at all of the details — including the revealing cover — which showcases the bride in pink!

Specifically, it's a custom-made "petal-pink Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gown" that Biel wore for the nuptials at the Borgo Egnazia resort in southern Italy.

Timberlake wrote his bride a song to hear as she walked down the aisle, which brought her to tears. "Grown men were weeping," Timberlake told the magazine. "Hopefully it's because I didn't sound bad."

The couple's first dance? Donny Hathaway's "A Song for You." (Hear it here.) The 100 guests included "Late Night's" Jimmy Fallon and former "Saturday Night Live" star Andy Samberg, and bride and groom put all their guests up at the resort for a full week.

"It was a lot to ask of them to travel, so we figured we'd give our guests a good party," said Timberlake.

Justin Timberlake calls wedding day to Jessica Biel 'magical'

    By Randee Dawn, TODAY contributor

Who doesn't love a couple of newlyweds? Justin Timberlake is clearly besotted by his new bride Jessica Biel, and has spoken with People magazine about their Friday wedding at the Borgo Egnazia resort in Puglia Italy.

"It was magical," he told the magazine, which has an exclusive on the nuptials and will feature them in this week's issue. "It was an unforgettable evening."

"It was a fantasy," said Biel.

The pair expressed love for Italy's food and wine, which was one reason they decided to wed there. (Undoubtedly one other bonus was that it was relatively out of the way for most American paparazzi.)

The pair were joined by friends and family and wed after several days of pre-wedding parties. Thursday the couple hosted an outdoor gathering with open fires, cheese, olives and wine; the night before that the wedding party watched fireworks and listened to live music on a beach.

E! Online published what it was calling the "first photo" of the newlyweds, sporting casual attire at an airport in Italy on Sunday. Us Weekly also weighed in with a "first picture" of Timberlake sporting his new wedding band.

"It's great to be married, the ceremony was beautiful and it was so special to be surrounded by our family and friends," said the couple in a statement.

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel marry in Italy

    By Gael Fashingbauer Cooper, TODAY

Some fans were expecting a weekend wedding, but Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake surprised them and tied the knot early, PEOPLE Magazine is reporting.

The actors wed in southern Italy, where they had gathered with friends earlier in the week, the magazine reports. The wedding date wasn't given, but it was likely Friday, as the magazine reported the couple hosted a party around bonfires on Thursday and a beach party with fireworks and live music on Wednesday.

The magazine published a statement from the couple saying, "It's great to be married, the ceremony was beautiful and it was so special to be surrounded by our family and friends."

PEOPLE will print photos of the ceremony in its next issue, which hits newsstands Wednesday.

The couple began dating in 2007, broke up early in 2011, then reunited and became engaged in Wyoming that December. It is the first marriage for both, though Timberlake famously dated fellow Mickey Mouse Club member Britney Spears from 1999 to 2002.

Jessica Biel will not name her child 'Batmo Biel'

    By Gael Fashingbauer Cooper, TODAY

If you have a last name that in any way pairs with a joke, people are going to make the inevitable baby name joke. Last name is Green? Name your kids Hunter, Forrest and Kelly. (Sticker magnate Lisa Frank actually does have sons named Hunter Green and Forrest Green.)

    AP file, batmobilehistory.com

The Batmobile, at right, wants to know if it in some way offended Jessica Biel, left, who is refusing to name her someday-child after it.

But for actress Jessica Biel, who's engaged to Justin Timberlake (and not pregnant, as far as we know), the joke is a little more comic-booky. As Gawker pointed out, enough people have made one particular baby-name joke to Biel that she felt she had to bust out a denial about it Thursday via Twitter.

If I got a dollar every time someone told me to name my future kid "Batmo" I'd almost have enough to pay for therapy for a kid named Batmo.

    — Jessica Biel (@JessicaBiel) October 11, 2012

You heard it from her: No future Biel-Timberlake offspring is going to carry the name of the Dark Knight's beloved car.

    Follow @ TODAY_ent

Fans loved her response. Wrote Gawker's Neetzan Zimmerman, "If this tweet doesn't guarantee Jessica Biel an Oscar, then the academy is dead to me."

On Twitter, more than 4,000 people retweeted Biel's words and 1,600 favorited it.

Wrote one fan, "Yes, 'Batmo' would have been such a stupid name especially when you could have called him 'Playmo.' " And another harkened back to an old Calista Flockhart show, posting, "How about AllyMick?"

One Gawker commenter intentionally didn't get the joke, posting, "Batmo Timberlake is a stupid name."

Kate Beckinsale vs. Jessica Biel on the red carpet

    By Kurt Schlosser, TODAY

Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel are bringing their best looks to the red carpet for the rollout of their new film, "Total Recall."

The two actresses faced off in Berlin on Monday. At a morning photocall on the terrace of the China Club, the Daily Mail took notice of matching blue suede heels. Examiner.com gave props to Beckinsale for her body-hugging purple dress and "age-defying physique." Style Bistro was impressed with Biel's watercolor crop-top look, but said what really made the ensemble a hit was her "soft-swept updo."

Later Monday night, the stars stepped out for the premiere of the film and Beckinsale was a "vision of loveliness wearing a Naeem Khan Fall 2012 gown," according to Red Carpet Fashion Awards. The same site says Biel "shimmered" in a fully-embellished sleek black halter Elie Saab Fall 2012 gown, but took points off for having her bangs down.

Jessica Biel had 'no say whatsoever' in ring Justin Timberlake gave her

    By Access Hollywood

When it came time for Justin Timberlake to pick an engagement ring for fiancee Jessica Biel, the singer/actor/designer made the decisions all by himself.

"I had no say whatsoever [in the ring]. I don’t micromanage,” the 30-year-old “Total Recall” beauty told InStyle’s August issue.

“[Justin] is fearless in his choices and has a real eye for design. And I’ll be honest: He has better taste than I do!” Biel said, explaining that Justin often helps her pick out what to wear.

"When I walk out of the closet after getting dressed in the morning, I’ll go like this [turns palms upward as if to say, ‘Well?’] And he goes like this [shakes his head no]. Then he picks again. It’s hilarious,” she continued.

The actress, who got engaged in December, also opened up about what makes a relationship work for her.

“Letting go of the little stuff. You can’t let it get to you,” Biel explained. “It is important to me to have a partner who is loving and fun -- someone who inspires me and he must be a good person.”

Biel says that having a strong sense of her own identity is a key to her happiness.

“In my earlier experiences with relationships, I really was vulnerable to somebody else’s personality, hobbies, and way of life. But as I’ve gotten older, I’ve become proud of the traits that make me who I am. Maintaining my individuality is really important to me because otherwise I can easily slip into somebody else’s life. So I’m glad I’m getting better at it. It’s a process, but it’s getting simpler,” she told the mag.

Biel and Timberlake might be super busy with numerous projects, but they try to maximize their time with each other.

“Justin and I have a rule that we don’t let a certain amount of time go by without seeing each other, but it doesn’t always work. Sometimes you are both working and it just happens. But from here on out, I want to participate in making smart choices for the relationship,” she added.

Catch Jessica -- along with Colin Farrell and Kate Beckinsale -- in the “Total Recall” reboot in theaters on Aug. 3.
