Kristen Stewart, One Direction win twice at Kids' Choice Awards

    By Jill Serjeant, Reuters

LOS ANGELES -- Green slime spewed furiously at the Kids' Choice Awards on Saturday, where "Twilight Saga" star Kristen Stewart and British boy band One Direction won two awards apiece.

Stewart, 22, escaped the slime but plunged her hands into the green goo, saying she "felt like I have finally found my kindergartner self," as she accepted trophies for movie actress and favorite female butt kicker.

Organizers said more than 350 million votes were cast online in more than 20 categories, spanning film, television, books, music and sport for the stunt-filled annual award show on youth channel Nickelodeon.

Hosted by "Transformers" actor Josh Duhamel, who is married to singer Fergie, the show in Los Angeles featured performances by Pitbull and Christina Aguilera, as well as Ke$ha.

Johnny Depp and Katy Perry accepted orange blimp-shaped trophies for favorite female singer and movie actor respectively and both stars had words of wisdom for the audience of kids and young teens.

"This is such a cool award ... stay safe, stay in school, don't do drugs," Perry told them. Depp said he was "truly honored and humbled. Thank you for what you are, which is the future."

Selena Gomez, 20, the ex-girlfriend of pop star Justin Bieber, took the female TV actress award for her Disney Channel series "Wizards of Waverly Place," even though the show came to an end more than a year ago.

Bieber, who is on tour in Europe, was voted favorite male singer and was among several stars who did not make it to accept their award in person

No-shows included One Direction, who are also on tour and who won for favorite music group and song for "What Makes You Beautiful," "X Factor" judge Simon Cowell (favorite villain), and Ross Lynch, 17, who was named favorite TV actor for Disney Channel's pop star series "Austin & Ally."

Sandra Bullock, Neil Patrick Harris, Duhamel, Pitbull, Nick Cannon, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and dozens of audience members got covered in slime gushing out from water cannons, presenter's podiums, ceilings, and even the tail of a fake gymnastic horse.

Other awards went to Nickelodeon's "Victorious" for top TV show, "The Hunger Games" for favorite movie, "Wreck-It Ralph" for top animated movie, and race car driver Danica Patrick and basketball player LeBron James for top athletes.

The Kids Choice Awards will be broadcast around the world in more than 25 languages, Nickelodeon said.

'Twilight's' got over 100 problems and Bella is one, say viral video critics

By Randee Dawn, NBC News contributor

If you liked how they picked apart "Skyfall," you're going to love the way the folks at Cinema Sins completely shred 2008's "Twilight." The first entry in the vampire romance franchise may have a shorter running time than "Skyfall" (sin count 61) but apparently it has nearly twice as many things wrong with it.

    Watch on YouTube

(Warning: Video includes bleeped out vulgar language.)

Of course, plenty of these nitpicks are editorial along with the expected flat-out continuity errors and other technical mistakes. Cinema Sins groups all failings and flailings into one batch, which include: characters who show up in one scene but not an adjoining cut; a fan blowing Bella's hair fetchingly as she walks in her classroom, despite it being a cold day; the not-so-subtle angel imagery in reference to Edward, and so forth.

They also wonder about certain story conventions, like how everybody in the sprawling school already knows Bella and her history, asking, "What is it about the pasty, introverted Bella that makes everyone so drawn to her?"

    Follow @ NBCNewsEnt

After six minutes the movie's "sin" tally is only 71. But wait: There's a bonus sequence, featuring Kristen Stewart's "Bella Noises" -- gasps, "ums" and so forth -- which ratchets the total up considerably. So stick around for the end; even non-fans of the series will want to see how far this particular stake-in-the-heart penetrates.

Stewart's stylish week: Kristen glams up 'Twilight' tour

    By Amy DiLuna, TODAY

Reports from the red carpet of the "Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2" premieres around the world mostly centered around Kristen Stewart and her (ex?) boyfriend Robert Pattinson. Did they touch? Did they seem happy together?

From left to right: Kristen In Los Angeles, in London, at the Madrid premiere and earlier that day, at a photocall in a Madrid hotel.

But perhaps knowing she was in the spotlight, Stewart walked the red carpet in sheer, short and sexy dresses that definitely distracted from her relationship scandal.

In Los Angeles and London, Stewart wore daring sheer dresses by Zuhair Murad. The next day at a hotel in Madrid, she picked a black and white Julien Macdonald dress with a fierce beaded neckline. That night, she turned up the sunny factor in a yellow mini by Christian Dior.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart attend 'Breaking Dawn' premiere together

    By Us Weekly

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson arrive at the premiere of "Breaking Dawn Part 2" at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Nov. 12 in Los Angeles.

The night "Twilight" fans have been waiting for is finally here. On Monday, Nov. 12, Twihards stormed the Nokia Theater at LA Live to watch their favorite stars walk the red carpet at the world premiere of "Breaking Dawn - Part 2," the final installment in the "Twilight Saga."

The most anticipated moment of the big event? The arrival of the film's on- and offscreen lovebirds, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.

Stewart, 22, trailed behind Pattinson, 26, as they made their way to the front of the theater, stopping to sign autographs for their thousands of fans. With her brunette locks swept to the side in gorgeous, cascading curls, the actress looked super glam in a nude, lace and chiffon strapless gown by Zuhair Murad; her beau dazzled in a dapper, dark-green suit and lavender shirt. At one point, the two stopped to pose for a photo together, and Stewart affectionately rubbed Pattinson’s back.

PHOTOS: Kristen and Rob through the years

The "Twilight" twosome have been making the rounds recently to promote the final installment of the franchise but have been typically tight-lipped regarding the on-again status of their relationship.

Appearing separately on the TODAY show last week -- one day apart -- both stars dodged questions from host Savannah Guthrie about their reconciliation following Stewart's July fling with her "Snow White and the Huntsman" director, Rupert Sanders.

    PHOTOS: Kristen cheats on Rob

"I'm going to just let people watch whatever little movie they think our lives are," the actress said, averting her eyes. "Keep 'em guessing, I always say."

Pattinson's response was similarly vague. "I want to ask, because we get asked it all the time. Who is actually asking?" he pressed Guthrie politely. "Is it in your contract?"

In any case, the couple's appearance on the red carpet Monday night should answer any lingering questions about their romance.

Robert Pattinson hates 'RPatz' nickname: It sounds 'like an antacid tablet'

    By Randee Dawn, TODAY contributor

"Twilight" franchise star Robert Pattinson knows he's called "RPatz" in the press and by fans. But he kind of wishes everyone would stop.

"I don't understand what the nickname culture is," he told TODAY's Savannah Guthrie Thursday. "If I could figure out a way to get rid of that, it'd be amazing. It does sound like an antacid tablet."

Just one of the downsides of fame that have emerged over the past four years as Pattinson has been starring in the film series, which ends when "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn: Part 2" is released Nov. 16. Another appears to be the press and fan scrutiny of his relationship with "Twilight" co-star Kristen Stewart. The couple have been together almost throughout the making of the films, and had a very public split recently when she was caught smooching the director of her film "Snow White and the Huntsman."

When Stewart appeared on TODAY Wednesday, she was cagey about whether they'd reunited, noting, "Keep 'em guessing." And Pattinson was just as dodgy. "I want to ask, because we get asked that all the time," he said. "It's like, 'Who is actually asking?' Is it in your contract?"

    Guthrie allowed that it was.

    Follow @ TODAY_ent

"It doesn't have to be (personal)," he said. "It only becomes personal if you answer it."

In any case, there's a lot of change ahead for Pattinson and his probably-maybe girlfriend Stewart, now that the "Twilight" movies are over and they're starting to go their separate ways professionally. Pattinson took a rather dim (if tongue-in-cheek) view of the rest of his career: "It's the end of my youth," he grinned. "Just a slow death from now."

"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn: Part 2" opens on Nov. 16.

Kristen Stewart on relationship with Robert Pattinson: I like to 'keep them guessing'

    By Ree Hines, TODAY contributor

The wait is almost over! The final chapter of the "Twilight Saga" will soon hit the big screen, but before it does, there's something else that many "Twilight" fans are clamoring for -- an update on the relationship status of the film franchise's biggest stars. Sure, Edward and Bella are bound to be doing fine. But what about Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson?

Savannah Guthrie asked if the romance was back on during Stewart's  Wednesday morning visit to TODAY.

"Funny you mention that," the famously private actress said. "I'm just going to let people watch whatever little movie they think our lives are and go for it. Keep them guessing, I always say."

While fans of the real-life romance will have to keep guessing about the duo's post-scandal status, they don't have to wait for "Breaking Dawn Part 2" details. After all, Stewart wasn't so shy when it came to talking about her on-screen alter ego. She was, however, sad to be putting Bella behind her.

    Follow @ TODAY_ent

"I mean, to have five years with one main focus -- it's just rare for an actor," she said on her "Twilight" time. "Usually you've got like five weeks, five months. Yeah, I definitely, you know, I'm OK walking away, but at the same time, I could keep it for another five."

Bella's seen some big changes during the five years Stewart's portrayed the character, such as her human-to-vampire transformation. But none of it seemed too different to the actress.

"Playing Bella so long as a human really helped me play her as a vampire, because it didn't seem like this huge leap into fantasy land," she explained. "It was a natural step for her. It was -- not to be completely cheesy -- but she really was born to do that."

    Born to be a vamp?

"It did always feel that if you took (away) the fact that she was a vampire, she was a fully-realized version of who you always knew she could be. She's always been self-assured. It's just that on the outside, you know, fear is a funny thing when you're that age. It can be a motivator; it can cripple you. Bella has always been the type of person to ... once one of those walls are broken down, she doesn't try to build it back up."

See the "fully-realized" Bella on the big screen when "Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2" hits theaters nationwide on Nov. 16.

Donald Trump: Kristen Stewart cheated on Robert Pattinson 'like a dog'

By Aaron Couch, The Hollywood Reporter

Donald Trump at "Celebrity Apprentice All Stars" season 13 press conference on Oct. 12 in New York.

Donald Trump has some unsolicited relationship advice for Robert Pattinson: Don’t take back Kristen Stewart.

Trump took to Twitter on Wednesday to weigh in on speculation that the "Twilight" couple had reconciled after a cheating scandal and public breakup over the summer.

Photos from THR: Hollywood's Twitter feuds

“Robert Pattinson should not take back Kristen Stewart. She cheated on him like a dog & will do it again--just watch,” Trump tweeted.

Perhaps Trump was disturbed by the news that Stewart recently purchased a home in the Los Feliz neighborhood of L.A., just a mile away from the home she once shared with Pattinson.

“He can do much better,” Trump added of the actor.

Trump also gave his proclamations on several other notable people, including NFL star Michael Vick (“a great athlete but not a great quarterback”), President Obama (“just stop already”) and Anthony Baxter, maker of the anti-Trump documentary "You’ve Been Trumped" (“Take a hint and get out of the film business, loser.”).

On Sunday, BBC Two plans to air "You've Been Trumped," a documentary chronicling a battle between residents of Scotland who opposed Trump's attempt to turn a wilderness area into a golf course resort.

So did the business mogul have any praise to dole out? Trump did compliment Mitt Romney, tweeting that the Republican presidential candidate’s “proposed tax cuts for the middle class will spur record economic growth.”

Trump returns to NBC for an all-star season of "The Celebrity Apprentice" in 2013.

    By Bruna Nessif, E! Online

You can always count on Kristen Stewart to give it to you straight. During a recent interview with Balenciaga creative director Nicolas Ghesquire for Marie Claire U.K. 's latest issue, the 22-year-old "Twilight" star was very frank when it came to her happiness -- or lack thereof.

More from E: Who was K. Stew's date for Florence + The Machine? (Hint: It wasn't R. Pattz)

"I'm a miserable c---," she said. "I'm not sure if I'm most happy when I'm comfortable and content or when I'm pushing myself to the limits. There are such different versions of happy. And I really appreciate both."

Considering the whirlwind of emotions K. Stew faced the last couple months when the scandal between her and Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders became public, it's understandable that she might feel, um, down.

Kristen Stewart's 'On The Road' topless scene 'didn't bother' her

Kristen Stewart goes topless in her latest film, “On The Road” (a big screen adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s famed book), but the actress says she wasn’t nervous about the on-screen nudity, thanks to director Walter Salles.

“It didn’t bother me,” Kristen, 22, told MTV News at the Toronto International Film Festival of her exposed scenes in the movie. “You can do no wrong with [Salles]. He puts so much inside of you.

“In the four-week rehearsal process, it was OK to ask any question, to bring up any story, to really overanalyze everything and intellectualize everything,” she added.

The actress, who will next been seen in the final “Twilight” installment, “Breaking Dawn – Part 2,” said she and her “On The Road” co-stars (Garrett Hedlund, Kirsten Dunst and Sam Riley) were completely entrenched in their roles and so prepared that they were given the freedom to improvise lines for their characters – a feat she found more intimidating than going topless.

“Once we got to set, it was so about just breathing and letting it happen. He put so much trust in us,” she said of her director. “So it was like, ‘OK, so I have to take my clothes off?’ It’s so not a big [deal].”

“On The Road” is slated to hit theaters on Dec. 21.

Liberty Ross, whose husband cheated with Kristen Stewart, 'totally terrified' on NY runway

    By Us Weekly

Liberty Ross had everybody fooled during Alexander Wang's New York Fashion Week show Saturday.

Her calm, cool and collected -- not to mention, extraordinarily fierce -- exterior belied some serious nerves as she strutted her stuff during a surprise trip down the runway.

Liberty Ross, actress, model and the wife of "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders, presents a creation from the Alexander Wang Spring/Summer 2013 collection during New York Fashion Week on Sept. 8.

PHOTOS: Kristen and Rupert's July 17 fling

"I was totally terrified," Ross, 33, confessed to The Cut at the show's after party. "I hadn't actually been out of my house for seven weeks so I was really anxious. But it felt amazing." (Ross' pal, and the man of the hour, Alexander Wang, said asking the model to take part in his show was a no-brainer. He told the fashion site he invited her "Because I love her and I support her.")

PHOTOS: Kristen and Rupert's road to infidelity

While the British stunner's claims she's been a recluse recently were a bit exaggerated (Ross has been photographed out and about near her Los Angeles home over the last month or so), she's still reeling after learning in late July that her husband, director Rupert Sanders, cheated on her with his "Snow White and the Huntsman" star, Kristen Stewart.

Together for 10 years, Ross and Sanders, 41, have two children together, Skyla, 7, and Tennyson, 5. Currently, their marital status is still very much up in the air.

Final 'Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2' trailer is here!

    By Sierra Marquina, E! Online

Well, this is awkward. In the just released trailer for "Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part Two," recently single Kristen Stewart, who plays Bella, says that not only is her "time as a human was over" but that she "thought [they] would be safe forever, but forever isn't as long as [she] hoped"...

See Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart as vampires in love

The last trailer for the upcoming final installment of the "Twilight Saga" centers around the Volturi setting out to start a war against the Cullens and features Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner as well as Dakota Fanning, alongside a ferocious K.Stew.

The flick picks up where part one left off, following the birth of Bella and Edward's child Renesmee Cullen and her mistaken identity as a mortal child, leading the Volturi to set out to destroy Renesmee.

Along with the excitement the trailer is sure to bring Twi-hards, comes the burning question of how K.Stew and R.Patz will handle press interviews and upcoming red carpets?!

    We can't wait.

Kristen Stewart steals limelight as Toronto film fest opens

    George Pimentel / Getty Images

Actress Kristen Stewart attends the "On the Road" premiere during the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival on Thursday.

    By Christine Kearney, Reuters

TORONTO -- The Toronto film festival opened on Thursday with action movie "Looper" starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, but it was "Twilight" star Kristen Stewart who attracted the biggest buzz on the red carpet at the star-studded festival scattered with Oscar hopefuls.

Anticipation was high for one of the world's premier film festivals that coming off Venice helps mark the beginning of Hollywood's awards season. Filmmakers see it as crucial launching pad and Toronto has previously propelled such films as "The King's Speech" to go on to success at the Academy Awards.

Ben Affleck, Selena Gomez, Halle Berry, Tom Hanks and rapper-turned reggae wannabe Snoop Dogg, now known as Snoop Lion, are all among a lineup of top stars due to appear.

But it was Kristen Stewart who wowed the red carpet Thursday, signing autographs to streams of cheering fans in her first media appearance since issuing an unusual public apology for cheating on long-term boyfriend and "Twilight" co-star Robert Pattinson with British film director Rupert Sanders.

Without directly referring to the scandal, Stewart, 22, told Reuters she was thankful "to know that everyone is here" and the support she described as "amazing" before she walked into the premiere of "On The Road" based on Jack Kerouac's seminal book of the postwar Beat Generation.

At a nearby theater, "Looper," a futuristic action blockbuster featuring Gordon Levitt and Bruce Willis about an assassin haunted by his time-traveling future self, officially kicked off the 11-day festival that will screen more than 280 films.

It was the first U.S.-China co-production to open the festival, but is not one of the films being keenly watched by Oscar observers. It was chosen as the opening film due to its perceived broad entertainment appeal in a slot once mostly reserved for Canadian productions or filmmakers.

Director Rian Johnson told reporters Thursday that following China's input into the production, a Paris location was switched to Shanghai and that even a joke was later inserted into the script - when Gordon-Levitt's character dreams of France he is warned by his future self of China's influence: "I'm from the future; you should go to China."

In a sign of Hollywood's possible future, the festival's co-director Cameron Bailey backed that up speaking to a packed premiere audience about China's part in the movie, "It's not that common yet but this is the future of filmmaking."

    "Cloud Atlas" ahead
Johnson and the film's stars said they believed the film had more emotional appeal than pure blockbuster entertainment value.

Asked about the violence in "Looper" and the wider movie world coming off the Colorado movie house massacre where during a screening of "The Dark Knight Rises" in July a gunman killed 12 people, Willis defended violence in the movies as a part of their integral, emotional pull.

"Violence is one of the hard, bad things that exist in the world. It's not just in films; it exists anywhere," he told reporters. "And to pick one thing out and say 'Well, you shouldn't have violence in films or you shouldn't make violence a part of a film, would be like taking the emotion out of it."

The movie's themes also prompted questions for the two stars about time travel and what they might change in the past. Gordon-Levitt said he would like to see the future - "I consider myself an optimist" - while Willis reflected: "I would remind myself every couple of minutes not to take myself seriously."

By Friday, the festival will quickly turn toward some of the more anticipated films already gaining Oscar buzz, including Ben Affleck's "Argo," based on the story of how the CIA smuggled six Americans under the cover of a Hollywood production during the 1979 Iran hostage crisis.

Also competing for critics and audience attention will be Paul Thomas Anderson's "The Master," David O. Russell's "Silver Linings Playbook" and "Cloud Atlas", an adaptation of the best-selling novel directed by Tom Tykwer and "Matrix" co-directors Andy and Lana Wachowski and starring Tom Hanks and Halle Berry.

Optimism by sellers and buyers added to the festival's excitement, with its reputation as a hot marketplace for its ability to grab media attention and attract quality productions.

Summing up why Toronto has quickly risen from its launch in 1976 to become one of the world's most desirable film destinations, Gordon-Levitt noted its reputation for low-key serious moviegoers.

"This is a festival that is full of cinephiles," he said. "It doesn't have the air of glitz and glamour and I really like that about it. It's more about the films."
