Rapper Lil Wayne reveals he's epileptic

Lil Wayne's recent medical emergency had everyone worried, but it wasn't exactly new territory for the rapper.  During an interview with Power 106's DJ Felli Fel, Tunechi--who mentioned that he is "100 percent now"--revealed that he's epileptic and is "prone to seizures."

He tells the radio station, "This wasn't my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh...I have had a bunch of seizures, you just never hear about them."

Weezy announces summer return of America's Most Wanted tour

But that doesn't take away from the seriousness of his latest health scare, when the celeb suffered three seizures in a row. "My heart rate went down to 30 percent," he said. "I have people around me who know how to handle it. This time was real bad because I had three back to back and the third one was so bad". So what happened? While some have suggested that sippin' on some sizzurp caused the rapper's recent medical condition, the YMCMB artist explained it was "plain stress and no rest. That's just typical me."

Lil Wayne says he's "more than good" after hospitalization

We believe him. Only 10 days after being hospitalized, Wayne announced he's hitting the road this summer for an encore of his America's Most Wanted Music Festival, which will play 40 dates in amphitheaters and arenas across America starting in July.

Hey, he said it himself: "I will never stop, like I'm runnin' from the cops."

    Get it, Weezy.

He ain't got no worries. Having spent the weekend in the hospital after suffering multiple seizures, rapper Lil Wayne was discharged Monday.

"Thanks to (Cedars-Sinai) for everything!!! @LilTunechi has been officially been released and is headed home....God is great," Young Money Entertainment president (and helpful provider of Lil Wayne health updates) Mack Maine tweeted.

Slamming a report that the 30-year-old star was in a medically induced coma and in dire straits at L.A.'s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Weezy's fellow YMCMB members took to Twitter on Friday night to set the record straight.

After the hubbub had died down, Lil Wayne himself tweeted : "I'm good everybody. Thx for the prayers and love."

Now let's keep it that way, Tunechi.

Lil Wayne didn't have seizure on plane, representative says

Lil Wayne isn't feeling too hot, but, according to his camp, he didn't have a seizure. Let alone two seizures.

Thoughts of Rick Ross couldn't help but pass through our heads when it was first reported that Wayne's flight had make an emergency landing in Texas last night because the rapper suffered a seizure onboard. His rep told E! News today, however, that the "Got Money" artist did make an unexpected stop in the Lone Star State, but it was to be treated for a severe migraine and dehydration.

Lil Wayne announced break from rapping this summer

And now, his camp has informed MTV News that, contrary to a TMZ report, Wayne did not suffer another seizure today, once again aboard an airplane, and was rushed to the hospital upon arrival in Louisiana, where his Texas-to-L.A. flight was supposedly diverted.

According to Weezy's rep, reports of his condition have been exaggerated and the hip-hop star is resting at his home in Louisiana.

In the meantime, Lil Wayne's scheduled Saturda appearance to promote his clothing line TrukFit at the Jefferson Mall in Louisville, Ky., has been canceled.

Celebs are just like us--they have to pass through airport security!

    May he feel better soon!

Lil Wayne tops Elvis Presley for most Billboard Hot 100 hits

    Gerald Herbert / AP

    By Josh Grossberg, E! Online

Lil Wayne is right above it, all right. The rap superstar has topped the King of Rock 'n' Roll, Mr. Elvis Presley himself, for charting the most Billboard Hot 100 hits for a solo artist.

Now that should put a smile on his face.

Lil Wayne taking a break from rapping

Per Billboard, the 30-year-old Wayne's latest entry is the Game's single, "Celebration," in which he's a featured artist along with Wiz Khalifa, Chris Brown and Tyga, which entered the chart at No. 82. With that milestone, "Tha Black Is Hot" MC now has 109 Hot 100 songs under his belt, surpassing Presley's mark of 108 that began with the chart's inception in 1958.

Out of those ditties, however, it's worth noting that Lil Wayne has only been the lead artist on 42 tracks with the remainder coming in featured appearances, while to Elvis' enduring credit, the "Jailhouse" rocker was the lead on every one of his 108 tunes that charted.

Also, several of the latter's classic gems, including "Heartbreak Hotel," "Hound Dog," "Love Me Tender" and "All Shook Up" among others, topped the Billboard pop chart in the mid-'50s before the magazine hatched the Hot 100 in 1958, an all-in-one singles popularity standard that factored in radio airplay, retail sales and eventually digital sales and streaming activity.

Nicki Minaj backing Mitt Romney in Lil Wayne track?

The last Presley tune to crack the Hot 100 was "Rubberneckin," used in a Paul Oakenfold remix that came in at No. 94 in 2003.

Lil Wayne has just one hit to reach No. 1 in which he's the lead artist -- "Lollipop," though that fact doesn't take away from his musical achievement.

    Congrats, Weezy!

Nicki Minaj raps: 'I'm a Republican voting for Mitt Romney' on mix tape

Is Nicki Minaj voting for Mitt Romney? The rapper-singer, who is nearing a deal to become a judge on Fox's "American Idol," gives what appears to be an endorsement of the Republican presidential nominee on Lil Wayne's "Dedication 4," the recently released fourth installment in his mixtape series.

During an instrumental on "Mercy," the fifth track on the album, Minaj raps: "I'm a Republican voting for Mitt Romney, you lazy bitches are [expletive] up the economy." (Listen to the track below.)

RapDose, which first pointed out the lyrics, noted that her rap was performed over Kanye West-produced beats; West attended the 2008 Democratic National Convention in Denver in support of President Obama.

Nicki Minaj berates, curses fans after U.K. concerts cancellation

Minaj has previously vented to Obama over Twitter, including messages expressing her frustration with U.S. healthcare in June on the heels of Moesha and The Parkers actress Yvette Wilson's death from cervical cancer. Before her death, Wilson's friends and family had been trying to raise money online to cover her medical costs.

“What’s sad is that when Yvette was bringing home the bacon, the gov’t was probably taking millions. On her deathbed though, #Nowheretobefound,” she wrote. “That should be a God given right! Even with Obama Care, too much involved. Just give FREE health care to all. @BarackObama what can we do?”

She added: "@BarackObama I wouldn’t mind the millions they took if it was going to healthcare. Why should a poor person struggle to pay for MEDS sir?"

Check out Lil Wayne's look at the Lakers game

    By Kurt Schlosser, NBC News

In case you missed it over the Christmas weekend, the NBA returned to action after a bit of a delayed start to the season.

    Still reading? Good.

The best part of this news, from the standpoint of those of us who like to gawk at celebrities, is that the Los Angeles Lakers were playing. The Staples Center is the premiere spot for courtside celeb viewing, and Sunday was no exception. But forget Jack Nicholson and Dyan Cannon.

The highlight for us was rappers Lil Wayne and Kanye West, right, exchanging a shake and a hug. Wayne's camo shorts defied gravity in their ability to stay above his knees despite riding way below his waist. Perhaps even more baffling was the addition of snowboard boots, below, to the ensemble. Gotta love L.A.

All of this makes for a good reason to watch this classic "Pants on the Ground" clip from "American Idol" (sorry, you'll have to go find the Brett Favre version on your own). Take it away, General:
