'Enraged' Harrison Ford storms out of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' after slamming Chewbacca

    By Drusilla Moorhouse, TODAY contributor

Unless you want to invoke the wrath of Han, don't ask Harrison Ford about "Star Wars."

    Watch on YouTube

Only recently -- since über-director J.J. Abrams confirmed he was helming the sequel, "Star Wars: Episode VII" -- has the actor expressed much enthusiasm about his iconic character in the franchise, beloved mercenary Han Solo.

On "Jimmy Kimmel Live" Wednesday, Ford riffed on the secrecy surrounding the movie (with rumors swirling that Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill might reprise their original parts) and his historical reluctance to discuss his breakout role.

He flatly refused to discuss the new film during the interview, and when his host asked whether he'd take audience questions, Ford agreed -- on one condition: "No 'Star Wars' questions."

Of course, every person who took the microphone was outfitted in a "Star Wars" costume -- and thrown off-guard by the actor's mandate.  Obi-Wan Kenobi stuttered, "Do you like being in movies?" A bearded dude dressed as Princess Leia asked an even more mundane question: "Are you hungry?"

But Chewbacca refused to play ball. His comments, spoken in his native Wookiee language (Shyriiwook, to be precise), enraged his former co-star.

"You son of a b----," Ford snarled, as the audience roared in laughter. "What do you want?"

"Yeah, you'd like that wouldn't you?" he said after Chewy's next remark. "Always trying to blame me. You're the one who couldn't keep it in your furry pants!"

"Actually he's not wearing any -- he doesn't wear pants," Kimmel noted.

"I rest my case!" retorted the actor.

In a profanity-laced faux tirade, Ford accused Kimmel of engineering the showdown with the creature who betrayed him.

"He knows what he did. She was my wife! You Wookiee (expletive)."

Finally, Ford couldn't take it anymore and stormed off the set.

"I'm out of here," he said, with one parting message to his former co-pilot.

"You -- I'll see you in hell!"

Let's hope they patch things up, because actor and comedian Patton Oswalt features them prominently in his epic eight-minute "Star Wars" filibuster. The eight-minute outtake of his rant, featured Thursday night on NBC's "Parks and Recreation," hit nearly 1 million YouTube views in a single day. In his suggested storylines for the franchise sequels, he includes this gem featuring Kimmel's guests:

"And that's when Han drops Chewbacca's severed head onto the floor!"

Guess that's one way to bury the hatchet.

Vice President Joe Biden to guest star on 'Parks and Recreation'

    By Tierney Bricker, E! Online

You've just been re-elected vice president of the United States. Now what? You hang out with Amy Poehler, of course! NBC's "Parks and Recreation" has landed one doozy of a guest star: Vice President Joe Biden!

    TODAY

Adam Scott, Vice-President Joe Biden and Amy Poehler.

President Barack Obama's second-in-command is set to make a cameo as himself on Poehler's hit comedy.

Get the latest scoop on your favorite shows with our Spoiler Chat

Councilwoman Leslie Knope (Poehler) will come face-to-face with her No. 1 crush Biden in the Nov. 15 episode when her fiance Ben (Adam Scott) takes her to the White House, Entertainment Weekly reports.

So how much of a crush does Leslie have on Biden? She once described her ideal man as having "the brains of George Clooney and the body of Joe Biden."

While Biden's cameo airs next week, he actually shot his appearance back in July when "Parks and Rec" filmed their premiere episode on location in Washington, D.C. That episode featured quick appearances by Senators Barbara Boxer, John McCain and Olympia Snowe.

(E! and NBC are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)

Star-studded 'Greatest Event in Television History' airs with Jon Hamm, Adam Scott

By Jordan Zakarin, The Hollywood Reporter

Adam Scott and Jon Hamm have pulled it off. After hyping their mysterious Adult Swim 15-minute special as the greatest event in television history, going so far as to even formally name it as such, the "Parks and Recreation" and "Mad Men" stars transcended the boundaries of time, narrative and facial hair to present what immediately became a landmark production.

Hosted by Jeff Probst, the first ten minutes of the special went "behind the scenes" of Hamm and Scott's production, which was to be "directed" by Paul Rudd. In the fictionalized world in which this special operates, Hamm had no time for Scott (in actuality, they're great friends), and Kathryn Hahn is not an American actress, but a German ballet instructor.

The production itself? A shot-by-shot recreation of the introduction to "Simon & Simon,"  a detective series that ran on CBS for eight seasons between 1981-89. And while Rudd wasn't actually the director -- Scott and Lance Bangs handled those duties -- they did actually recreate the famed introduction, which involved killer whales, hot air balloons and broken bottles.

Also making appearances were Megan Mullally and Paul Scheer, the latter of whom wrote the special.

'Parks and Recreation's' Nick Offerman talks love interest Lucy Lawless

    By Ree Hines, TODAY contributor

Ron Swanson has had tough times with the ladies (usually named Tammy) on "Parks and Recreation," but his luck might soon change thanks to a new love interest this season. And according to Nick Offerman, the actor behind the mustachioed parks director, the new twist marks a big change for him too.

After all, as Offerman told TODAY Thursday morning, the part of his lady love is played by easy-on-the-eyes actress Lucy Lawless, and he hardly sees that as the most likely matchup in prime time.

"I've never, in 20 years of professional acting, countenanced such a champion of a lady standing across from me," Offerman explained. "I mean, I've played her plumber and her bus driver, but I've never played 'the guy' with her. So it's really fun."
