Ashton Kutcher's Steve Jobs transformation on display in new trailer

    By Courtney Hazlett, NBC News

The Steve Jobs biopic "jOBS" is set for theatrical release this spring, but some attendees of the Sundance Film Festival will get an early glimpse of the film when it premieres to close out the festival Friday night. Below, a newly released trailer for "jOBS," which also features Josh Gad as fellow Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak.

The clip serves at least one purpose: it proves Ashton Kutcher definitely looks the part of the enigmatic Apple icon. His physical resemblance to Jobs is spot-on, but does he pull off a complete Jobs transformation? It's tough not to hear a little Michael Kelso from his "That '70s Show" days, but it's difficult to judge from less than a minute of film footage.

"jOBS" will hit theaters April 19.

Does the film seem promising to you? Take it on over to Facebook to discuss.

Think alike! Ashton Kutcher looks eerily like Steve Jobs in new film

By Gael Fashingbauer Cooper, NBC News

The nice thing about playing a tech billionaire in movies? You don't exactly have major costume demands. Just ask Jesse Eisenberg, who played Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg in "The Social Network," and almost always wore a hoodie onscreen.

    Corbis file, Sundance Institute

Steve Jobs circa 1981 or 1982 is shown at left, and Ashton Kutcher, playing Jobs, is shown at right.

Now Ashton Kutcher is enjoying the same mellow dress code as he plays Apple co-founder Steve Jobs. A photo released by the Sundance Institute for the upcoming film "jOBS" (capitalization theirs, reportedly to play off the titles of products such as Apple's iMac and iPad) shows Kutcher, in jeans and a casual shirt, perched on a desk with a retro computer behind him.

The film's photo was staged to resemble a real 1981 or 1982 photo of Jobs, and it's pretty spot on.

And speaking of accuracy, filming for the movie began in June at Jobs' actual childhood home, including scenes shot in the garage where Jobs and Steve Wozniak founded Apple.

'jOBS" will close the Sundance Film Festival in January, according to The Hollywood Reporter. No theatrical release date has been announced.

Ashton Kutcher to play Apple founder Steve Jobs in film

    By Tierney Bricker, E! Online

From replacing one of TV's most infamous "Men" to portraying one of the business world's most famous men, Ashton Kutcher can seemingly do it all!

The "Two and a Half Men" star is set to play Steve Jobs in an indie biopic titled Jobs, Variety reports. And while the actor is well-known for his Twitter activity, no one can deny that he also bears an uncanny resemblance with the late Apple founder, too.

So what is the film about? And does this mean Kutcher is dunzo with "Two and a Half Men"?

The film will follow Jobs on his journey from "wayward hippie" to cofounder of Apple and one of the most respected and powerful entrepreneurs in the business and technological world. Jobs passed away last October.

The film will be based on the best-selling, authorized bio of Jobs by Walter Isaacson.

While he has yet to sign a deal for another season, sources tell E! that Kutcher will most likely return to "Two and a Half Men" for another year. Kutcher would film Jobs while on hiatus from the CBS comedy in May.
