'Teen Mom 2' star Jenelle Evans tweets about sobriety before arrest for heroin possession

    MTV file

What a difference a day makes for "Teen Mom" Jenelle Evans.

    By Ashley Majeski, TODAY contributor

Less than 24 hours after she told a fan on Twitter Monday that she was "doing great...and I'm sober!" "Teen Mom 2" star Jenelle Evans was arrested in Brunswick County, N.C., and charged with possession of heroin, simple possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The troubled MTV star's lawyer, Dustin Sullivan, tells TODAY.com that Evans also was charged with simple assault, and failure to pay her child support payment to her mother, Barbara Evans.

Evans' husband, Courtland Rogers, was also arrested Tuesday, and has been charged with possession of heroin, as well as assault on a female.

    Follow @ TODAY_ent

"Courtland is currently on probation for the assault on a female charge that Jenelle filed against him in January," Sullivan said. "He recently pleaded guilty to that charge and was on probation for it when he was arrested today."

Sullivan said that Evans' charges were split up and that she received two separate court dates: one in May for the misdemeanor charges, and one in June to deal with the felony drug charges.

"She was very upset when I saw her in court," Sullivan tells TODAY.com. "She was crying in court and she denies having any involvement with the drugs that were found."

Evans, who has made two trips to rehab in the past two years, was shown on Monday night's episode of "Teen Mom 2" discussing her drug use, and took to her Twitter account Monday night to defend herself.

@annagregorova basically all my problems piled up and I felt like my life was unmanageable. I coped with life doing what I did, and why? Idk

    — Jenelle Evans (@PBandJenelley_1) April 23, 2013

Sullivan said that while Evans has been bonded out of jail, Rogers was still behind bars when Evans left jail. Coincidentally, Evans' former fiance, Gary Head, turned himself into the Brunswick County Jail today to begin serving a sentence for a DWI charge.

"At one point today, Gary, Jenelle and Courtland were all in the jail behind bars at the same time," Sullivan said.

According to Sullivan, Evans wasn't on probation at the time of her arrest, but is currently prohibited from having any contact with Rogers.

'Teen Mom 2': Jenelle Evans and fiance jailed after violent assault

    MTV

    By Drusilla Moorhouse, TODAY contributor

"Teen Mom 2" served up two scoops of rocky road with back-to-back new episodes Monday night.

Two violent assaults, two arrests, two trips to the wedding chapel … the docu-series really delivered double the dramz this week. Plus, Prince Charming himself, Kieffer Delp, made his second comeback.

To be fair, Kieffah really did come off as the good guy for possibly the first time ever. Then again, even Jenelle's Ed Hardy seat covers looked good when compared to Gary Head.

At first, it's nothing but romance and puppies for Gary and Jenelle. (Literally: He bought her a puppy.)

But after a whirlwind engagement, the explosive Marine first broke down Jenelle's front door, and hours later, was arrested for assaulting her.

Jenelle was arrested too, because when the cops arrived, Gary played a game of show-and-tell with her marijuana stash, pipe and Klonopin.

This time, her mom bailed her out of jail and let her stay at her house. Can't imagine Barbara was too pleased when she found out K.Delp crossed her threshold, however.

Twitter Follow The Clicker on Twitter

Twitter Follow Drusilla Moorhouse on Twitter

But hey, he did drop some wisdom when Jenelle said it was over with Gary.

"To keep it real wit ya, once he punched you in the face and you was done," Kieffer reminded her. (Did Babs know about this? And if so, why'd she let him babysit Jace?)

"We've been to the point where the police didn't want us together too," he added about the restraining order issued against Gary, "And we was chillin'."

But Kieffer's true jaw-dropper was this: "You can definitely find somebody better than Gary." Pause. "Or me."

Unlike Jenelle (this time), Leah's short engagement was much less tumultuous (only one breakup during Indecision 2012) and concluded with nuptials in the courthouse chapel. The couple are still planning a grand summer wedding, but in order to get the home loan they wanted, they needed to seal the deal.

There's only one negative: "In our wedding pictures it's going to look like I married a teenager with them braces on," Jeremy joked en route to picking up their rings. (Dude, she's 20. You almost did marry a teenager.)

Leah's ex, Corey, wasn't exactly overjoyed to hear the news -- especially when Leah asked him to up his childhood support. And although they made a verbal agreement for an extra $100 a month, the court recalculated it to $800 based on his salary. Ouch! Well, twins are expensive, y'all.

Kailyn and Javi also considered tying the knot for practical reasons: He's hoping to join the Air Force, and they will only provide housing and other benefits to married couples. But although they pay a visit to Vegas' world-famous Little White Wedding Chapel (Britney Spears was married there, and that worked out so well for her!), they decide to postpone. And as Kailyn pointed out, "I'm not marrying you unless I have a ring. We're not even engaged yet!"

    MTV

Beauty-school student Chelsea's having a rough time of it lately, and not just because of her terrifying purple hair and makeup. (Maybe cosmetics class is next semester?) Baby-daddy Adam has a new girlfriend and a newfound interest in spending time with his daughter. Although he obliquely threatens to take her to court, Chelsea's lawyer assures her that he won't fare that well in a battle for even part-time custody.

Cue Chels' typical overreaction: "I don't know what it feels like to be happy," she cries to her dad. (Dierks Bentley would beg to differ.)

Next week: Chelsea considers taking a leave of absence from school because of all the "stress," Corey's upset about paying so much child support, Javi passes his Air Force entrance exam, and Kieffer and Gary have a showdown outside the courthouse.

'Teen Mom 2' star gets violent with boyfriend

    MTV

    By Drusilla Moorhouse, TODAY contributor

"Teen Mom 2" is almost running out of places to plug in PSAs! Teen pregnancy prevention, STD education, drug addiction, DUIs, child endangerment, anger management and domestic violence -- the MTV docu-series really covers it all.

In this week's episode, viewers glimpsed into the diaper bag of humanity as Kailyn got violent with boyfriend Javi after a dispute over their dogs. In addition to the shove we see on film, she also apparently grabbed his face and gave it a vicious shake.

He walked out only to return later, when she promised to take anger management classes. She also suggested she take boxing classes, presumably so that something besides the man in her life can serve as a punching bag.

Jenelle also got back together with her boyfriend, Gary. He's so responsible and caring (spoiler alert: not for long) that he picked up Jace when Jenelle was a babysitting no-show.

Jenelle had agreed to stay at her mom's house overnight so she could start looking after Jace when Barbara left for work at 7 a.m. Instead, she took off to party with her friends and never returned. When Babs complained about her irresponsibility, Jenelle told her to shut up and "be original." Mom did her best, saying her "pot head" daughter has gotten fat because she's smoking so much weed.

    Touché!

Twitter Follow The Clicker on Twitter

Twitter Follow Drusilla Moorhouse on Twitter

Like Jenelle, Chelsea's baby daddy A-D-A-M has delusions about someday getting legal custody of his daughter. With two DUIs on his record, he sent a legalese letter to Chelsea, whose dad sneered that it was written not by Adam but his parents or "somebody who knows how to type."

On a break from beauty school, Chelsea met up with "Teen Mom" wannabe Megan, whose son is almost 1, and revealed her "retarded" hookup with her ex. Megan in turn told her that Adam has a new girlfriend but comforts Chelsea by saying she has a "weird face." Whew!

Just weeks after choosing Jeremy over her own ex, Leah was planning their wedding in Myrtle Beach. But there's a snag: The couple, who've decided to buy a house together, learned that they'll have a harder time getting a loan if they're not married. So they decide to tie the knot at the courthouse, but still celebrate their union with a wedding later as planned.

Maybe by then Leah's daughter Ali will be walking! At her annual assessment, her physical therapists say it's a "realistic goal," even though she is still not using her calf muscles. They also praised her "compensation" for her weak hands, asserted that her cognitive skills are at an age level or above, and compliment Leah's mothering. Bravo!

Has 'Teen Mom' lost its original message?

    MTV

    "Teen Mom 2's" Jenelle Evans.

    By Ashley Majeski, TODAY contributor

When MTV began airing its ground-breaking docuseries “16 and Pregnant” in the spring of 2009, many viewers and critics were shocked that a network would seemingly glorify something as controversial as teen pregnancy. Producers defended their decision to put a spotlight on the issue and claimed the show would prevent more young girls from getting pregnant if they saw what it was really like to be a teenage mother.

And it did. “16 and Pregnant,” which took an unprecedented look at the lives of six teenage girls who ended up pregnant, didn’t shy away from showing viewers the struggles that an unplanned pregnancy can bring. After the first season aired, the National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy credited the show as being a contributing factor in helping the teen pregnancy rate drop in 2009 for the first time in years.

In the early days of “16 and Pregnant” and its popular spin-offs “Teen Mom” and “Teen Mom 2,” MTV strived to keep the show’s message strong: an unplanned teen pregnancy will bring heartache and make getting an education extremely difficult, if not impossible. Viewers watched as the  “Teen Mom” stars struggled to do their homework with crying infants on their hips and tried to scrape together enough money to buy diapers for their children.

As the popularity of “Teen Mom” and “Teen Mom 2” grew, so did the media’s interest in the stars. Soon the girls were appearing on tabloid magazine covers, discussing who they were dating or divorcing, and in the cases of Amber Portwood and Jenelle Evans, their latest legal troubles. As the media’s obsession with the moms grew, so did the young women’s paychecks. No longer were they struggling to find money to buy diapers, they were buying houses, breast implants and more, all thanks to their MTV salaries.

Unable to hide the fact that its teen mothers were no longer broke, the shows’ producers simply incorporated the girls’ spending into the  plot lines. Soon, it felt like the two spin-offs had drifted away from the original purpose -- to show the trials and tribulations of teenage motherhood -- and became somewhat of a “90210”-esque soap opera. Instead of watching the girls struggle with being young mothers, viewers tuned in each week to see if Evans would ditch her son and get into trouble with a boyfriend. In fact, Evans’ son, Jace, usually ended up being little more than a prop, scooting around in the background while Evans and her mother screamed at each other about Evans’ latest antics. In many episodes, it appeared as if Jace had to be fit into the action, because the story line had nothing to do with him or with Evans being a mother. And viewers wanted to know if Leah Messer and Corey Simms would ever get back together; or if Portwood would end up in jail. (By the time the “Teen Mom” series finale aired, Portwood was serving a five-year sentence. )

Though the original “Teen Mom” series has ceased production, the fourth season of “Teen Mom 2” debuted last month -- immediately after the third season ended. In the past, the network ran the seasons with considerable time in between; however, this time, the powers-that-be seemingly decided to burn through the already-filmed episodes as quickly as possible.

A look at the season so far might hint at the reason.

On one of the fourth season’s very first episodes, viewers were shocked to see one of the stars, Chelsea Houska, discussing how she failed to use birth control during a hook-up with her ex-boyfriend, Adam Lind. On the same episode, yet another young mom, Leah Messer, found herself pregnant for the third time -- this time, with the baby of a guy she met only months before.

If Houska and Messer, subjects of the show that is meant to prevent unplanned pregnancy, didn’t bother to go to MTV's associated www.itsyoursexlife.org to learn about birth control options and pregnancy prevention, how can MTV expect any of its young viewers to do so?

Still, the network believes the overall message is strong.

“Teen birth rates in the U.S. are at historic lows and many experts have cited the ‘Teen Mom’ franchise as contributing to that decline,” an MTV spokesperson told The Clicker. “The show continues to capture the ups and downs these mothers face.  And, as young parents, they still struggle with issues young people around the country deal with, including relationships, growing up, finding themselves, and sometimes making mistakes. These issues are amplified by the fact that they have a child.”

Of course the girls featured on the show had issues that existed long before they ever appeared on television, but there's little doubt that the public scrutiny that comes from being on the show, as well as the paycheck the job brings, has had an impact.

So, going forward, how might the show deal with that?

Well, later this year, MTV will debut the third “16 and Pregnant” spin-off show, “Teen Mom 3.” A source close to the show, who requested anonymity, told The Clicker that the stars of the latest spin-off were chosen carefully, in order to prevent them from becoming a liability to the network, as Evans and Portwood have become.

While “Teen Mom 2” may have strayed from its original purpose, it is still trying to helping teens think twice before having unprotected sex.

“ ‘Teen Mom’ continues to shine a bright light on the struggles young parents and their children face,” Amy Kramer of The National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy told The Clicker. “Even if critics disagree, teen viewers consistently say that watching the show helps them better understand the challenges associated with teen parenthood.”

Ashley Majeski writes about "Teen Mom 2" and other reality shows on her website, TheAshleysRealityRoundup.com.

'Teen Mom 2's' Jenelle Evans celebrates end of probation with new boobs and a bong

    MTV

    By Drusilla Moorhouse, TODAY contributor

On the latest episode of "Teen Mom 2," Jenelle Evans continued doing her part to cement reality TV's bad reputation.

Reunited with Kieffer, the bad-boy ex-con who used to live in her car, the revolving-door rehabber is smoking pot again, rarely seeing her son and she's ready to get breast implants.

Even Kieffah, the self-proclaimed "biggest fan" of her breasts, is against the idea: "I was very attached to them so the new ones better be just as cool," he purrs.

Romeo and Juliet are also launching exciting new careers. Jenelle is selling online advertising, and Kieffer is going to start hand-carving wooden tobacco pipes. All he needs are tools and exotic wood!

He might have a customer in Jo's girlfriend Vee, whose shameless pot smoking and drinking infuriates his baby mama. Kailyn is even more upset that Jo has missed his visitation with their son since moving to Jersey. Yes, the Teen Dad has finally flown the nest and gotten his very first apartment. (These kids grow up so fast!)

Chelsea is going to have find a new place to live too. Correction: Her dad is going to have to find her a new place to live, because she's a full-time student and just can't deal with the fact that her landlord is kicking her out.

At least she is going back on birth control. Resistant at first to getting another IUD, she opted to get the Morena again after her doctor explains the other options. Yes, four seasons into a docuseries about unplanned pregnancy, and Chelsea's just now learning about the other birth control methods besides "whoops."

We thought we might have another spinoff on our hands when Leah's former fiancé, Jeremy, dropped by her baby daddy's new house. He said he just wanted to talk, but he also pointed out that he has all his stuff in his truck and "nowhere to go." "Teen Dad: Roommates" -- that's a show we want to see! And the two have a lot more in common than just being Leah's exes and doppelgangers: They share a passionate hatred for her original ex Robbie.

Alas, it's not to be. Leah is realizing she "made a big mistake choosing Corey over Jeremy," and will be asking him to come back.

Hers isn't the only revolving door: Next week, Jenelle kicks out Kieffer and asks Gary to return, while Kailyn invites Javi, her future husband, to move in with her and Isaac. It's all unicorns and rainbows from here on out, folks!

'Teen Mom 2' star Jenelle enters rehab

By Alyssa Toomey, Katie Rhames and Senta Scarborough, E! Online

    MTV

Jenelle Evans on season two of MTV's "Teen Mom 2."

More trouble for "Teen Mom 2" star Jenelle Evans. After recently being deemed a "liability" for the hit MTV reality show, Evans' attorney confirms the troubled mother of one is currently in rehab undergoing treatment for drug use.

"Jenelle is in a rehabilitation treatment facility in North Carolina to address any addiction issues for drug use," Evan's attorney, Dustin R. T. Sullivan, exclusively tells E!.

Sullivan did not specify how long Jenelle will remain in rehab, nor did he reveal the specific drug use she's being treated for.

    Jenelle Evans suffers a miscarriage

The rehab news comes less than two months after the MTV star filed assault charges against her husband Courtland Rogers and later suffered a miscarriage with ex-fiance Gary Head by her side.

While Jenelle is in rehab, her husband has been arrested, and has still found time to tweet about it.

"They.got me...brunswick.coybty jail i am.on my way...write me ...sorry i got caught," he posted on his micro-blogging page.

Jenelle files assault charges against husband Courtland Rogers

Pender County Sheriff Deputy Chester Ward told E! News that they discovered Rogers had outstanding warrants on March 5 when they were dispatched to an unrelated call in Hampstead, N.C.

"We had responded to a disturbance call but it didn't have anything to do with him. He and some other people were there and we will check and run identification to make sure they don't have any outstanding warrants and Mr. Rogers did," Ward said.

Twitter Follow The Clicker on Twitter

"He just happened to be at the residence," Ward added. "We put him in our holding jail and processed him here and Brunswick County picked him up this morning."

Jenelle Evans shares baby's ultrasound picture premiscarriage

Brunswick County Sheriff's Office Public Information officer Emily Flax confirms Courtland Rogers "is in our detention facility." The total charges include four counts of assault on a female as well as two counts of battery on an unborn child. He was booked into the county jail around 11:30 a.m. after being picked up by authorities in Pender County, N.C.

16 and Pregnant's teen moms: Where are they now?

Multiple arrest warrants for Rogers set forth gruesome details about the married couple's relationship. One warrant claims Rogers "unlawfully and willfully did assault and strike Jenelle Rogers, a female person, by picking her up throwing her against the wall, bashing her head on the wall, punching in her head, back, stomach and legs." The date of the offense is listed as Nov. 16, 2012.

Another arrest warrant details an alleged incident from Jan. 21, claiming Rogers "did commit battery on a pregnant woman."

'Teen Mom 2's' Jenelle Evans defends drug use and Kieffer Delp

    MTV

    By Drusilla Moorhouse, TODAY contributor

All hail the return of Jenelle Evans' knight in shining armor! Kieffer Delp has finally returned from the battlefield (aka jail). Although he's actually wearing uncomfortably tight acid-washed jeans instead of chain mail and he's riding a bus (ticket paid for by Jenelle) instead of a noble steed, he's still every inch the hero.

That's how the story goes in the fairy tale crafted by Jenelle, anyway. Now that she's completed the terms of her probation, she is finally legally able to see the dude whose misdeeds helped to send her to jail.

Freed also from her weekly drug tests, Jenelle and Kieffer can share their favorite hobby: smoking pot.

Stop judging: "Weed is just a plant," Jenelle reminds her concerned mom. "It's not like I'm addicted to cocaine..."  (-- from the coca plant.) "Or heroin..." (-- from the poppy plant.) "Or meth..." (-- OK, you win, Jenelle.)

"You better put the antenners on with Kieffah and make sure he doesn't suck you dry," warns Babs, who is blind to the charms of Jenelle's prince. (Props to K.Delp for getting his GED in prison. Maybe Chelsea would've applied herself if she were behind bars?)

Haters will hate, but we will celebrate these two star-crossed lovers finally enjoying their happy ending. What could possibly go wrong?

Not much to say about Kieffer's fellow GED-holder. We'll let Chelsea speak for herself:

"I finally got my period. Woo-hoo, not pregnant!"

With that false alarm over, Chelsea enthusiastically accepts her bad-boy baby daddy's invitation to get together. Predictably (to everyone but Chelsea), he bails at the last minute because he's "too tired" -- but somehow summons the energy to go out to a movie with other friends. At least he posted his plans on Facebook so his baby mama was less oblivious than usual. When she chastises him for disappointing his daughter, he sweetly texts,  "I'm not ditching Aubree I'm ditching u." Aw.

Twitter Follow The Clicker on Twitter

Twitter Follow Drusilla Moorhouse on Twitter

Meanwhile, Kailyn, after three weeks apart, finally drops off her son at baby daddy Jo's. While their hand-off is virtually silent, the "Teen Mom" has plenty of fauxversations with "friends" to elaborate on the dramz. We also learn that she's averaging only two classes a semester, so there's a chance Chelsea will be running her own salon by the time Kailyn graduates from community college.

Over in West Virginia, Leah's backside is the center of a love triangle between her fiancé and ex-husband.

"If I was him I would've already left my a--," she says about Jeremy's endless patience, while her baby daddy asks, "Why is it I can't get over your little a--?"

And because "Corey is the person who makes my family complete" (and not because he has two bathtubs in his fancy new house), she lets Jeremy walk out the door. With his engagement ring.

We'd congratulate Leah on finally "making up her damn mind" -- except that she now shares a last name, and a new baby, with Jeremy.

    The End.

MTV accused of editing 'Teen Mom 2' to imply domestic abuse

    By Ashley Majeski, TODAY contributor

    MTV

Kailyn Lowry on "Teen Mom 2."

“Teen Mom 2” fans were shocked as they watched the show’s normally level-headed star Kailyn Lowry explode in rage at her boyfriend (and now husband) Javi Marroquin, and admit to hitting Jo Rivera, the father of her child, in the new trailer for the show’s upcoming fourth season. The incidents had some viewers wondering if Lowry would face domestic violence charges, much like “Teen Mom” star Amber Portwood did after she was caught on camera hitting and kicking her then-boyfriend Gary Shirley in 2010.

In the MTV clip, it appears that Lowry screams at her boyfriend, then proceeds to get physical with him, causing him to walk out on her.

It’s a case of crafty editing intended to make the young mom look like a hot-tempered abuser, said Lex Lopez, a friend of Lowry’s who witnessed the incident when it happened almost a year ago.

“She never hit him,” Lopez told The Clicker. “She pushed him out of frustration and was instantly sorry for her actions.”

"This is a docu-series and the scenes shown are accurate portrayals of each young woman’s story – the trailer includes a confrontation that took place between Kailyn and Javi, and shows her expressing her feelings about it," an MTV spokesperson told us. "Viewers will see this event unfold later in the season."

According to Lopez, the incident was the result of a disagreement between Lowry and Marroquin over where to put their dogs while an MTV crew filmed a scene for “Teen Mom 2.”

“That day there were 14 people in Kail’s tiny house, including an eight-person camera crew. It was so hectic and Kail was very frustrated and she just lost it for a minute,” Lopez said. “Javi forgave her that day, even though MTV tries to make it look like he leaves the house after the incident. In fact, he went outside to go help his parents fix Kail’s car.”

Lowry, who saw the trailer before fans, apologized to Marroquin, his family and her fans for the incident they were about to see.

“I just want to publicly apologize in advance to my fans,” she told Starcasm.net. “Even though Javi and I have moved on from it, I want to say I’m sorry again to him and his family for letting my emotions get the best of me. I know how humiliating that is for them and I’m humiliated myself.”

She also revealed that she suffers from bipolar disorder, and that the incident made her realize she needed help.

Twitter Follow Ashley Majeski on Twitter

“Kail has known she was bipolar for a long time but just wasn’t getting help for it because she didn’t want to believe,” Lopez said. “She got another opinion, and is now in counseling and taking medication.”

As for the incident involving Rivera, MTV's camera's have him on tape saying, "She punched me in my face!" Lowry is later seen admitting some violence when she cries, "I (expletive) hit him!"

A source with close ties to the show -- who requested anonymity -- said that the young mother did not beat up her ex. According to the source, cameras were not present for the alleged altercation.

Lowry filed an order of protection against her ex, but later withdrew it.

“She snapped,” Rivera told The Clicker of the incident that happened in front of his parents’ house. “I tried to push her away, but (nothing) more. (Her filing) the PFA was more of a way to get back at me than to protect herself.”

No charges have been filed against Lowry for either incident, according to the Whitehall Township Police Department in Pennsylvania, where Lowry resides.

Season four of “Teen Mom 2” premieres Feb. 18 on MTV.

'Teen Mom 2' reunion shocker: Leah wants her ex back ... and more babies

    MTV

    By Drusilla Moorhouse, TODAY contributor

After the "Teen Mom 2" third-season reunion, all we can say is: Oh, Jeremy, you poor sap.

Leah's unfortunate fiance (now husband) had to sit there on Dr. Drew Pinsky's couch while his baby mama flat-out professed her love for her ex-husband, Corey. That's not all: She'd rather get back together with Corey -- if he fully committed to their family -- than stay with her devoted new man.

Dr. Drew slapped on another insult by soliciting a show of hands from the audience, who almost unanimously voted for Corey.

Corey won't commit, though, but he does blame the failure of their marriage on the old "trailer and truck" dispute, not Leah's revelation that she cheated on him a week before their wedding.

It seems all Leah wants is a family and more babies, so if Corey's out then Jeremy's in -- evidently, seeing as how she married him.

The special was apparently taped between Leah's miscarriage and third pregnancy (with Jeremy). When she says she's desperate to have another baby, Dr. Drew, who has triplets of his own, smacks her down: "An adult wouldn't think that way!"

Huh. "Thinking" has never been our go-to verb when discussing the Teen Moms.

Moving on, some disturbing facts came out of Jenelle's session:

The Ke$ha concert wasn't that great.

Per Dr. Drew, Jenelle probably would have passed her drug test if she hadn't attempted to "adulterate" it. So the lesson here is just make sure you don't smoke out two days before your weekly urine test? (We suspect that was Jenelle's takeaway.)

Kieffer is back in jail, and Jenelle has a new boyfriend, a Marine whom Barbara loves.

"I love Gary -- he's very respectable," Bab enthuses about the habitual drug user who would later plead guilty to assaulting her daughter. "He was brought up with manners and wants Jenelle to go to church."

Maybe Gary isn't exactly a model citizen, but he sure seems that way compared to Jenelle's baby daddy. Hey, even "that Koofer kid" looks good next to Andrew, who was tripped up in several lies on Dr. Drew's couch.

For instance, he hasn't seen his son because Jenelle didn't give him Babs' number and his baby mama is deliberately blocking a reunion.

Then he admitted he can't visit their home in North Carolina because there's a warrant for his arrest -- for not paying child support.

    Genius!

Dr. Drew commends Jenelle on her "progress." (Hey, he's not a fortune-teller, just an addiction specialist!)

Kailyn is still fuming about Jo's girlfriend, Vee, whom she still hasn't met. Does Vee's tweeting that she asked Jo to send her a picture of his package make her untrustworthy? (Discuss among yourselves.) Did Jo send such a snapshot? ("I don't remember.")

Could Jo and Kailyn ever get back together? Jo takes this one.

    "I'm not a fortune-teller, I'm a rapper," says N.I.C.K. B.

We're not fortune tellers or rappers, but thanks to the season four preview, we already knew Chelsea and Adam hooked up again -- and that Dr. Drew was destined for disappointment when he asked whether they used birth control.

"Please God, say yes," begs the unreasonably optimistic doc.

Chelsea's dad, Randy, drops another bombshell: Adam threatened to leave if Chelsea didn't give him money for his truck. (What the truck is with these baby daddies? The must really like to help people move.) But Adam denies that ever happened. Hmmm, whom to believe? The respected dentist or the partying four-wheeler who still lives with his parents?

That's all for this season, folks. Tune in to MTV Monday, Feb. 18 for the premiere of season four!

'Teen Mom 2' season 4 preview teases domestic violence and drugs

    By Drusilla Moorhouse, TODAY contributor

"Teen Mom 2" returns Feb. 18 ... with a cauldron full of hot mess.

The preview for the fourth season opens with a shocking scene of domestic violence. What's most surprising is that the attacker is Kailyn Lowry, the "responsible" "Teen Mom" star, beating on her new boyfriend (now husband) Javi.

But Javi isn't Kailyn's only casualty. After complaining that her ex, Jo, "put his hands on" her, she punches her baby daddy in the face.

But wait, there's more! Jenelle, who like original "Teen Mom" Amber Portwood has been arrested for violent confrontations, is seen tossing a suitcase at who appears to be new BF Gary Head's face and shoving him. She in turn complains, "I have bruises all over my body."

In more terrible news, Jenelle reunites with her bad-boy ex Kieffer, who places an emergency call because she's "high on morphine."

Chelsea predictably hooks up again with baby daddy Adam -- without using birth control. Sigh. Is this before or after he serves her court papers and shows off his new girlfriend?

Meanwhile, Leah continues to vacillate between her devoted fiancé, Jeremy, and her ex-husband, Corey.

There is one bright spot amid all this violence, misery and heartbreak: Leah and Corey's daughter, Ali, who suffers from a neurological disorder, walks on her own for the first time! Tears.

"Teen Mom 2" returns Monday, Feb. 18 at 10 p.m. on MTV. Will you watch? Tell us on our Facebook page!

'Teen Mom 2' star Jenelle files assault charges against husband

    MTV

Jenelle Evans on MTV's "Teen Mom 2."

    By Anna Chan, TODAY

Updated at 4:30 p.m. ET: Sounds like there's more trouble in paradise for "Teen Mom 2" star Jenelle Evans and new hubby Courtland Rogers.

On Wednesday morning, the reality personality tweeted, "I am getting a divorce, ASAP!" But that wasn't all. She accused Courtland of leaving town while she "might be having a miscarrige (sic)." She is about seven weeks pregnant.

In his own defense, Courtland tweeted on Wednesday (from Ohio, while his lady love is in North Carolina) that he "never did anything to hurt my wife I always loved her with every ounce of my heart :( I can't take life like this!"

Later on Wednesday, Jenelle tweeted that she had taken legal action against her new husband.

Attorney Dustin Sullivan, who has represented the reality personality on several legal issues and has appeared on the MTV series, confirmed to TODAY.com that she had filed assault charges against Courtland. The lawyer is not representing Jenelle in this latest legal issue. "The State of North Carolina will be representing her because she is the victim in this case," he told us.

All this while Jenelle was reportedly in the hospital for the health scare too. She retweeted a comment by Kristin Raeon (@MisKrisPix) that read, "Jenelle would rather not comment on why she was in the hospital. She is too upset and betrayed." A message from Kristin on the young mom's official Facebook fan page -- run by Jenelle and friend Kristin -- also noted she was in the hospital, and that "Jenelle's conditions are not good, but cannot say more about what happened. "

This drama after yet another fight that the couple took to Twitter on Monday.

"And I am glad to know hat (sic) somebody has sent me. A screenshot of jenelle and (ex-boyfriend) gary talking today ! TODAY," Courtland wrote.

Jenelle's response? "@courtyb11 want me to blast what y did? Lmfao don't think so."

The MTV personality confirmed on Jan. 16 that she was pregnant with Courtland's baby, her second child. Her mother, Barbara, has custody of her son Jace due to Jenelle's various legal issues. Courtland also has a little girl with his ex.

The young couple tied the knot on Dec. 4 after dating briefly. But after a mere 26 days of not-so-wedded bliss, Jenelle quit the relationship, accusing her husband of being more interested in chatting with his ex than his daughter. They got back together just days later.

'Teen Mom 2's' Jenelle Evans pregnant again

    MTV

    Jenelle Evans.

    By Courtney Hazlett, TODAY

Updated at 6 p.m. ET: "Teen Mom 2" star Jenelle Evans is pregnant again, she confirmed to MTV's Act blog.

"I missed a few birth control pills, and found out I was pregnant at a doctor’s appointment. I was really surprised," she said.

Star magazine broke the news with an exclusive interview her husband, Courtland Rogers. According to the interview (via Radar Online), Rogers told the publication, "Me and Jenelle are so happy that she's pregnant."

"I know a lot of people will say we’re not ready, or judge me from my past," Jenelle told MTV's Act in a phone interview. "I want to prove to everyone that I can do this. This wasn’t planned, but it happened so we’re taking it as we go. Courtland and I are happy and excited now. We have our own place, we’re married and we’re both working. We know having a child can be difficult, but we’re going to do our best.

Radar goes on to say the 21-year-old is due Sept. 4. (Ironically, Jenelle tweeted on Jan. 5, "no I'm not prenant lol.") According to the gossip website, Rogers told Star in its exclusive interview that "She (Jenelle) told me, 'I'm looking forward to a second chance."

That second chance Courtland refers to taps into a point of inevitable outrage over the new pregnancy: Jenelle does not have custody of her first child, son Jace. Her mother, Barbara Evans, received sole custody of the toddler after Jenelle's repeated problems with drug use and the law ... problems that have not been put in the past, either. During the season of "Teen Mom 2" currently airing on MTV, Jenelle has failed drug tests that were part of the terms of her probation, and needed to be bailed out of jail on one occasion.

While Jenelle's legal problems play out on television, her marital problems have been playing out on Twitter. Jenelle and Courtland married Dec. 4, but after just 26 days, all signs indicated that Jenelle left her new husband. The two did reunite; maybe there will be a happy ending after all.

Jenelle's announcement is not the first pregnancy announcement from the second "Teen Mom" series. In December, Leah Messer announced she's expecting her third baby.

Are you surprised Jenelle has another baby on the way while her mother still has custody of her first child? Share your thoughts on our Facebook page.
