George Takei dubs William Shatner 'Star Trek's' biggest d*!$#@

    Jason Redmond / Reuters file

George Takei told Andy Cohen on Thursday that William Shatner is far from his favorite "Star Trek" co-star.

    By Ree Hines, TODAY contributor

Captain Kirk and Mr. Sulu got along just fine on the bridge of the USS Enterprise, but in real-life, there's no love lost between the men behind the iconic sci-fi characters. Actors William Shatner and George Takei have long traded barbs and dropped not-so-subtle hints about what they really think of each other. For fans of the stars, the off-screen drama practically qualifies as "Star Trek" spin-off of its own -- and now, there's a new release in the feud franchise.

Takei paid a visit to Andy Cohen's "Watch What Happens Live" Thursday night and offered up an insult unbecoming a Starfleet officer but perfectly suited to the ongoing Shatner vs. Takei battle.

When a viewer wanted to know who "the biggest d-----" on "Star Trek" was, Takei responded, "I think most fans know."

    Cohen asked, "Shatner?"

Takei played coy with an "I didn't say anything" answer ... that is, until Cohen quizzed him for more info.

"(About) Bill's d-----ness? Well, he's very self-possessed, self-involved -- everything revolves around the captain," the actor explained.

Especially the cameras. According to Takei, if a director was set to film a "Star Trek" scene with the lens focused on anyone other than Shatner, the main man took action.

"He would take the director off to a dark corner and have a whispered conversation," Takei explained. "And then the director comes back and moves the camera that way (to Bill). ... You know, sometimes that happens. But it happens regularly, and then it begins to be -- 'oh, no!' "

What does an ear taste like? Mike Tyson dishes on his big bite

    By Ree Hines, TODAY contributor

In a now-infamous heavyweight championship rematch, Mike Tyson went head-to-head and mouth-to-ear with Evander Holyfield and left the ring in disgrace. That ear-chomping incident is now 15 years behind the former undisputed champ, but it’s far from forgotten.

In fact, the way Tyson talked about his big bite on Sunday night’s “Watch What Happens: Live,” it seemed as if human ear is one flavor he’s never likely to forget.

The topic came up when host Andy Cohen challenged Tyson to a round of the show’s always provocative Plead the Fifth game, wherein the guest-du-jour is asked about three hot-button (or just plain embarrassing) things, and can “plead the fifth” and keep quiet about only one of them. Tyson, being an open book, welcomed all of the questions put to him, including: “What does an ear taste like?”

“Well, that depends,” he said with some consideration. “It depends on which ear you bite. But since I bit Holyfield’s ear -- and it didn’t have any of that Holyfield Hot Sauce on it -- it wasn’t too tasty.”

But Iron Mike assured that if it had been drenched in sauce, “That would have been a delicacy!”

If all of that sounds pretty lighthearted for a such gruesome topic, don’t worry -- even Holyfield is in on the joke. Before Tyson’s “Watch What Happens: Live” visit, the two boxing greats swapped jokes and promoted Holyfield’s new sauce to commemorate the anniversary of the ear event.

“My realdealbbqsauce.com will make u wanna take a bite out of someone's ear! Ask @MikeTyson - Luv ya bro!” Holyfield wrote.

    Tyson agreed.

Joan Rivers: My insults aren't mean!

    Bravo

    By Anna Chan, TODAY

"Fashion Police" queen Joan Rivers has never been shy about saying exactly what she thinks -- whether she's doing a comedy routine or judging the stars at a red-carpet event. And her words can sometimes be brutally honest.

But despite how her jokes or fashion critiques may come across as unnecessarily harsh to some, she told Andy Cohen on "Watch What Happens Live" Thursday night that her insults aren't meant to be mean or hurt anyone's feelings. And because of that, she doesn't really regret poking fun at celebs -- especially when they get her jokes.

For example, Rivers said she was the first to do fat jokes about Elizabeth Taylor.  Taylor's response, according to Rivers? "It doesn't bother me."

But there is one joke the comedian nuked from her act. Rivers said she used to poke fun of "country guy" Willie Nelson by saying "he wore a roach motel around his neck." When Rivers learned that the singer's then young daughter was getting teased at school because of it, the dig was immediately removed from her act. "I'm not there to make a little girl be unhappy," Rivers said. "But if you're making $25 million a movie and I don't like your dress, that's not tragic."

Cohen also asked the comedian whether she's been honored with the Kennedy Center Awards. Rivers' response? "Are you out of your mind?! Nobody ever recognizes me. No way!" When her host expressed shock, Rivers explained, "I'm too outrageous. And I don't play the game, and I say what I think, and I must've insulted everybody at one point."

See what else she had to say and what other celebs she pokes fun at:
